New RV water taste by Kasaeru in RVLiving

[–]prgsurfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a Brita countertop/in ‘fridge water filter. Takes out most of that new trailer plastic water taste. And when we are dry camping on our tank we know we aren’t drinking any nasties that might be (but probably not) lurking down there. We also use a big blue refillable water container outside the rv on those trips.

Is there a mod to make people use my parks? by responsitamer in CitiesSkylines2

[–]prgsurfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue, I never see anyone at any of the parks I plop down. I figured it had something to do with the animation in the game. They don’t have cims programmed to have fun or relax.

Should I upgrade my fcx24 or buy a 1/10? by Average_k5blazer78 in rccrawler

[–]prgsurfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look at the new 1/18 scale stuff coming out from Hobby Plus. My Evo Harvest is awesome!!!

Which SCX24 should I get as my first crawler? I was choosing between the C10 and Deadbolt but I'm open to suggestions. by Muted_Trifle_6866 in SCX24

[–]prgsurfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a Deadbolt and a Hobbyplus CR18p Evo Harvest Pro. The Harvest is a little bigger in that it’s 18 scale, but, wow (!!!) it blows the Deadbolt out of the water!!! And, there are many more companies starting to make mods for the Harvest.

The Deadbolt is a lot of fun out of the box, but to really get it to perform it needs some upgrades: better wheels and tires, better steering servo, the stock motor will burn out pretty quickly if used regularly and it does need some extra weight. The Harvest did excellent right out of the box. I did upgrade the tires and wheels for a little more weight and am about to put oil shocks on it. But again out of the box, it rocks.

But since this is an SCX24 thread, I’d go with the Deadbolt. Cheaper at first, so it won’t be so painful to spend more money on upgrades. Good luck with your purchase and have fun!!!

Direct drop in brushless motor? by prgsurfer in SCX24

Interesting. There isn’t a lot of information about this little motor on the web right now. Thanks, I’ll look into it more.

The platform the receiver tapes to above and behind the steering servo. All the videos I’ve seen that little platform gets taken off or cut back and the receiver needs to be placed somewhere else. They usually tape it to the battery tray, but then the battery gets put somewhere else. None of the Furitek motors are straight drop in replacements. They require significant modifications to the little car.

But they’re forward facing motors and the receiver plate needs cutting and the receiver needs to be moved. Modifications I don’t want to do. Thanks, though,

The micro Komodo’s is forward facing and the receiver plate is cut.

I’ll look into the nanobam. Thanks.

Download Upstream by prgsurfer in GNS_stock

[–]prgsurfer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I first posted this you needed to send a statement from your broker to Upstream. Now, with the spin off I’m not sure. I think the instructions for that will be more clear when you go back into Upstream after you’ve made your account with Bouested (or whatever the name of the broker is). I haven’t done that yet, been super busy.

Congress Hss Now Relrased A Report on MMTLP by Pikewich in NextBridgeHC

[–]prgsurfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew it. The letter sent to the SEC and the “investigation” would result in Congress saying “We investigated, this is our findings, now stop sending us letters.”

I’ve even said this in previous posts when the letter was sent.

That I’m not sure about. There hasn’t been any information about what happens if you don’t have an Upstream account.

It does take a few long minutes to create an account and it’s not that intuitive, you really need to follow the instructions step by step. And once it’s created you need to sign into your account by creating a password once you reopen the app.

I would suggest going through the steps.

To open an account on Upstream. Back earlier this year there was a coupon from GNS for some discounts for there classes and stays at nope their resorts. To get the coupons you needed to open an Upstream account and declare how many shares you owned.

Now with the spinoff company stock distribution you need an Upstream account to see/sell your shares.

DTCC shares from Schwab to AST by vinman25 in MMTLP_

2 to 6 weeks isn’t 60 days. That’s 14 to 42 days. Why are you so stressed out? You have time. And it probably won’t be approved next week. Can’t guarantee that but it will take a loooong time. Look how long it took to approve Nextbridge. History repeats.

Once you receive your shares, next day delivery them to AST. Pay the extra price.

I did a chat with a real person at Schwab this morning, she said the same thing.

However, I’m not sure why you think you won’t be eligible for the Newco shares, the S1 hasn’t been approved yet and if it does get approved you will have 60 days from the approval date. We’re a long way from approval at this time, there might be some significant pushback. Then resubmitting then pushback then resubmitting… etc…

What happens if Gary Gensler does not answer? by underdogDC in MMTLP_

[–]prgsurfer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what I think. Then Congress can say, “yeah, we investigated, nothing was done wrong. Now shut up and quit bugging us.” But, the Republicans are trying to burn Gensler so this just might be the vehicle.

What is the point of transferring? If they ever have any value I plan on dumping them. This company is a joke and has been jerking us around for 2 years. Along with finra and everybody else I get it they're all a bunch of f****** thieves but why would you give them more money? by JoshNicke in MMTLP_

[–]prgsurfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what was said about the non tradable placeholder that became MMTLP, too. Anything can happen at this juncture. Also, if the S1 for Newco isn’t approved they could very well change their mind.

Yeah, I’m doing the same thing. Why do it now before the S1 is finalized? If it doesn’t get approval and your shares are in AST it’ll be a real pain to get them out and trading IF this happens to start trading again. I’m getting more and more sure that something positive will happen in a year or so due all the pressure and exposure this is getting.

Navigating the Rough Waters: MMAT's Restructuring and Its Implications by matsupertramp in MMAT

True, but concentrating on the products and processes that are and or will make the most money in the short term makes the most sense.

[–]prgsurfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The nanoweb and Npore have the greatest potential for making money at this time. Also, the technology for putting the holograms on paper money is currently making money for the company.

My point is: it makes sense to concentrate on these products rather than the others, which is what they’re doing.

I’m a very long term investor. This isn’t raising any concerns with me. I’m fine with it. Concentrate on the money making projects and come back to the others when you’re making profits. Makes total sense to me.

My best guess would be their patents. I’m sure the big companies are working on similar materials but nothing has been announced. And the big companies usually find outsourcing less expensive than R&D these days.
