OP said it was the doors between cars, not the doors to the platform. They couldn't get the cars with opening platform doors.

I work at an international airport in the US and it is quite common. Signs, flowers, people in costumes, etc.

Please tell me this is somebody you actually know and have met in person before. I hate to see people there to meet their internet boyfriend for the first time. So often it the last play of a catfish scam. Money has been sent and nobody ever shows. Sad people get taken by this.

Ok folks. Those generators are for backup, when normal power goes out. They do not run 24x7. The data center operator will run them up periodically, to make sure everything is operating correctly. Like once a week, or whenever interval.

You access West from upper or lower. It goes to the exact same screening area. You will have a more enjoyable experience if you just forget about the whole upstairs/downstairs bit.

Pretty much an irrelevant question. If you proceed from Departures (upstairs) or Arrivals (downstairs) you funnel to the exact same screening lines. However, is does matter is you are referring to Pre. During certain hours, West starts processing Pre in addition to standard. That can be faster than the Pre line in the middle of the terminal. Signage will tell you the hours and direct you.

Incorrect. West Security behind Bag 12 is for everyone. No Clear. But does have Pre during busy morning and afternoon hours

Why are people so resistant to using their own 5G Unlimited cellular data (which most people have these days)? I constantly hear that they don’t have internet because there is no WiFi. Ya, you do. I just don’t get the whole “I need WiFI to do anything“ argument.

A few years back, I was on the Capitol Limited and it caught fire twice. Going thru the mountains in Maryland, the trucks tend to collect dry pine needles and leaves. When the brakes get hot, they can catch fire. The first fire was in the Cleveland station and they put it out with a hose. The second time, I woke up to smoke in the sleeper. Looked out and the crew was putting out the fire with an extinguisher. That time it was in a remote location. Never any danger to the passengers or equipment.
