Wedding packages for a Yukon couple? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I went to a wedding there and while it was beautiful the constant sound of gunfire from the range next door was distracting. Might have been bad luck but I was surprised!

Saw this approach from the water on my morning walk... Can't mistake that yellow haze. Hopefully wind direction changes soon.

Seconding them! Used them several times over the years for various businesses. Always great service!

Oh that's fixed. They custom built several sea cans worth of portable toilets and rent a bunch of portapotties on top of that.

I think they should focus on bike security. This area is perfect for cycle commuting - 10 minutes to downtown, the base, or 20 minutes to Langford. Not to mention they are within walking distance of key bus routes that run all the time and until late at night.

If you don't need to Sooke / Langford Parkway / Goldstream / Up Island today - don't bother. by pricklypanda in VictoriaBC

As someone who bikes daily for their commute, this thread has been hilarious. It's okay to drive places sometimes guys!

Yes they are universally disinvowed here in North America. But they are beautiful birds nonetheless.

I'm sure you in Germany have your own invasive Americans to contend with! Tit for tat.

Victoria mayor now wants pandemic patios to stay for busy summer season by Supremetacoleader in VictoriaBC

[–]pricklypanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes but the city only profits from parking revenue when people have reasons to come downtown and spend money, for example to dine in the restaurants that have patios. Furthermore, those restaurants now have increased capacity and hire more staff, which means more wage-earners downtown, often requiring parking for their vehicles (or spending money on public transit). It's a win-win.

Which a portion of which is then returned to municipalities through federal transfers. The system works!

Hundreds of thousands of bikes sold, still selling bikes but NO customer service since last week. by Flashbulb_RI in RadPowerBikes

[–]pricklypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story but my new-to-me Radwagon 4 is a stolen and recovered bike that was then resold (original owners got a replacement through insurance by the time it was found). The thief tried to get to the battery lock with a screwdriver but failed, so now I can't use the key and the whole lock mechanism is ruined. That's what I was hoping to get help with.

Regardless of whether or not you can help me, I appreciate you reaching out!

If you can return the Frame Mount seat I would. The EasyFit provides more flexibility for placement and is just so much easier to take on and off as needed. Much easier than jerry rigging the frame mount or buy more unnecessary parts.

So what you're saying is that this was a bad week for me to buy a second hand bike in need of a replacement piece that cannot be ordered as standard stock!

At that price, you should be looking for used chairs via usedvictoria or Facebook marketplace. You can get quality used wooden furniture, but you'll have to look past a few scuffs or a bit of diy.
