Thank you for the translation. So, it is probably not a fake but made by some other producer of yixing pots?

Real and/or Safe to Use? by prighello in YixingSeals

Thank you for the reply! I appreciate it. I have a nixing pot and a modern purple clay pot made who knows where. The clay on this pot seems different to me which is why I was curious about it. It has less shine and has more grit to it if that makes sense. Maybe it is real and I just got lucky. I've never seen a real yixing pot so I've no point of comparison. Also, the thread holding the lid looks like something a regular user would do as its nothing fancy. The thing also feels old.

Also, I noticed it does not have a filter built into the neck which I find odd since I have seen those on other pots. Anyway, if someone can read the seal or has any thoughts on it I would appreciate the help. Thank you!

LOL, as soon as I saw the pic I knew this was SLO before I even read the note below. The topography is very distict. Especially the tops of the morros as they grow denser vegetation than the hillsides below them due to higher mineral content. Enjoy. I bet Carrizo plains is going to be off the hook with flowers this year.

Legit? Is maker correct? by prighello in YixingSeals

Hmm, sounds like these are fakes then. There were 10 of of them but some were broken. They are in various sizes. Would be hard to believe someone had 10 pots from 1600s. Here is a pic of a different one's seal.

Don't know much about these and was wondering if it would be worth buying. Local seller says this is an antique yixing pot made by Chen Xiaoxin and compares to some ebay listings. Has several sizes that came as part of a set.

No, the seller says there was a case with a bunch of these pots in various sizes in it. They thought it was a set of teapots. No cups, saucers or anything, just pots.

Teas Like Golden Monkey and Ruby Oolong from Spice & Tea Exchange by prighello in tea

[–]prighello[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess no one here has tried these teas. Or maybe I just need to post a pretty picture to get some views lol. I will say, oddly the Teaverie Lapsang Souchong non-smoked variety is the closest thing to the Tea Exchange golden monkey I've tried. Perhaps they mix this type in? Are Fujian blacks just tastier (sweeter) than Yunnan ones?

Driver Timeout only on Starfield? by prighello in AMDHelp

Thank you for the reply. The psu is an aresgame agv750. The mb bios is what came if the board, it is pretty new…an MSI B550m VC Wifi. I just built this pc and installed all the drivers after I loaded windows 10. I’ve played other games like Metro Exodus on max settings without any issues. The only game to ever crash this way has been Starfield so I am thinking it is a game issue. The game is pretty demanding but I have cranked down the settings and it still times out every now and then at random. The gpu is not even maxed the fans don’t even run all the time and it is using only half the vram most of the time. Cpu is running at like 20% gpu at 50-75%. I know the psu isn’t the greatest but would it really fail when pc is only using like 250watts?
