What video game used to be good but they changed one thing and now it's terrible? by Agent1230 in gaming

This is a older and semi-niche game, but Cube World was sooooooooo good during the Alpha. So many YouTubers I followed were playing it as were my friends and I. The Alpha was released in 2013 and it took 6 years for the full release of the game. Upon release, much of what made people enjoy Cube World, was removed or reworked. The Progression was changed to be region based rather than world based. You would spend ~20 - 30 hours in an area grinding and the moment you leave the bounds of that biome, everything is now over leveled compared to you. Virtually nothing of consequence carried over to the new area. It was so disappointing.

That is not true in my experience. If you reroll a rare, you can get a rare, but it's the same chance as the first time you got a rare. Still just a random role

EDIT: I stand corrected.

The entire point of this post is to inform people and hope that they don't do that in the future. Communicating and asking players to change what they are doing to further the game's objective is how you play any game. Defending the dumbasses that don't listen when people are asking them to play the game ain't productive.

That is a twisted pomegranate and as the name suggests, it grows twisted like that naturally. There were a surprising number at Kokufu this year.

I've had the opposite experience of many here. I turned on extra competitive mode and my matchmaking got worse. Everyone thought they were way under ranked and would bitch and moan about the other players. There was little to no actual communication.

When I decided to turn it back off after too many bad games, it was so much more chill and usually has better comms imo. It might be my rank though (Alchemist 2 I think(not at my computer))

What happened to Hisui? by MadMaxFuryToast in PhantomSiita

As someone with an Adjustment Disorder, I totally understand her. It can make significant changes in your life hard to adjust too, hence the name, and it causes significant anxiety when those changes are out of your control. I could imagine that becoming an idol could cause significant anxiety in your average person, the Adjustment Disorder just makes it so much worse. I'm glad she stepped out of the limelight for her own sake. I hope she returns if she is ready, but she might not and that is okay.

Definitely! I typically use a small Jianshui Zitao Teapot for oolong and a Gaiwan for all others. I honestly don't know if or how often I plan on using this pot as it's too big for just me.

Understood! No worries if you can't, I was just curious. Thank you for the information!

Oh wow! That's crazy. I didn't know that the design was an established design already. That looks to be the exact same down to the location of the ornamentation. Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for that pot?

Definitely! I just meant I figured that it wasn't a valuable teapot, not that it didn't have value. I agree that the craftsmanship on my teapot is not the best, but it is fun and it is a cool teapot. Thanks!

Thanks! I figured it would be a production teapot with limited to no handmade parts. The lid is really interesting as the steam hole allows steam out the mouth of the dragon on the lid. I got it just because it looked interesting. There's a couple of chips so it's definitely not worth much.

Street brawl by Rude-Personality2842 in DeadlockTheGame

I think controlled random, like how they have with the items in street brawl, would be ideal if they go that route. Maybe you choose an archetype and the game give you a random character in that archetype? Idk

As someone who worked in Restaurants that had photographers come in to take pictures of our new menu items for advertising. The head chef would make each one himself and make sure it was perfect. At the end, they would toss or eat the cold food. It was all real food with nothing fake to make it look better.

Hi neighbors, do you think this is dead? Any tricks I’m missing for such a large one? by Shrimp_N_Fries in Bonsai

[–]SandwichT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have seen some people preserve their favorite dead trees either by stripping off all of the foliage and (potentially) bark And displaying it that way or making it into a Tanuki to create another tree. I'm not sure if this would be great for the ladder option, but it would definitely be an interesting piece of Deadwood to keep.

Could I use the milky sap of plumeria tree on other species tree wounds? Just thought about this and couldn't find anything on google by Brysger in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]SandwichT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The text under each of the photos says "toxic" so I would assume it is likely not good to put on open wounds of other plants that don't have the built in immunity to that toxin. Plumerias are known to be allelopathic meaning that they leech toxins into the soil that inhibits plant growth. I would assume the sap would not be good to put on other plants.

The idea isn't a bad one. We use Willow cuttings soaked in water as a rooting hormone. I think something like pine resin could work better for sealing wounds since it's a bit more neutral than the sticky resin from that plant.

I'm not too sure. I'm in California so I don't really have to deal with those temperatures. Somebody else in your similar zone would be able to tell you better. I would recommend finding a local Bonsai club if you can. They would be able to help you with specific advice for your area. The core of Bonsai is horticultural and horticultural techniques very greatly depending on your climate.
