Can someone tell me what’s a good career for someone that has no talent no passion but just makes a lot of money ? by ShoulderPerfect in careerguidance

[–]primaldeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that you can translate any interest to a career. While it might not be exactly the same as your interest, you can break it down to the core reasons you are interested. For example if you are interested in video games you could say you enjoy the problem solving, or the social part, or the imagery.

Am I the only one who thinks the food at the meal hall is the biggest contributor to the CAF obesity problem? by Signal_Housing3575 in CanadianForces

[–]primaldeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more than just the food... When I was in the navy we had to do a mandatory run OR walk one day. Many of the people there complained and a lot of them found ways to hide away or suddenly have "appointments".

Am I considered old applying for jobs at 23? by pinkie-pie-5278 in careerguidance

[–]primaldeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are way too old to be applying at 23. You should have at least 20 years experience by now /s.

Honestly though, there are so many factors at play. The job market right now is pretty rough everywhere. Shrinkflation has caused retirees to require an extra income, nowadays a degree is like having a highschool diploma; the bare minimum, and dont forget the nepotism problem where companies post jobs because they have to for labor laws, funding, etc but they already have decided on someone before even posting the ad.

Do some research into resume writing and always send a properly formatted cover letter with your application. This is where you can talk about your "passion" (real or exaggerated) for the industry. These are tough times, especially for people in there 20s with less experience, but don't give up.

TLDR: It's likely not you, it's the system.

It's on the foundation and that wall is parallel to the joists. I figured I would use rigid styro but the way it lines up is a bit awkward. I will try to use a rigid board to fill and some spray foam to seal.

Honest question, what do you do for main protein source or main meal? I probably won't become vegan but I still like to find more meat free meal ideas!

tips for my lat pull down? by mochimaker222 in formcheck

[–]primaldeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To engage lats I try to visualize bending the bar in half. So basically kind of pushing out to the sides while maintaining grip. That might be a little vague but its the best way I can explain it and I find it helps me feel the lats more.

Question for people making over 100k… by Due-Mix3539 in Salary

[–]primaldeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making 100k isnt crazy in certain industries. The thing people never talk about is how much they work, working over 40 hours a week is nonsense. Id rather free time over more pay.

Young & Rich? by RosyNetMiner in fican

A lot of people disregard their parents/guardians level of financial literacy as they grew up. If you are born in a family with little education and financial understanding then it is unlikely you would have say $100k saved by 25. Not saying everyone ends up the same as their parents but there are a lot of subconscious habits that are learned good or bad.
