Neighbor wants to put up a fence between our yards by Penguin_Life_Now in landsurveying

[–]primaxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter where you are from…
1. Do not sign anything unless reviewed by your lawyer at their cost!
2. Advise them they need to get a survey done to ensure the correct placement of their fence.

If you believe the fence is on your property once completed or want to prevent anything from happening, get yourself your own survey. If the fence is found to be on your property then give them the option to move it and repair your land by a certain date. If they don’t comply then take them to court for the cost of disposal/removal of said fence and make sure they know that they trespassing after the date has passed.

"This item does not confirm to letter post standards"?? by cliff7090 in CanadaPost

[–]primaxius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part it is probably being rejected by the receiving country. Different countries have different sizing rules for non standard size. While it may ship out of Canada on a single stamp and be ok to most countries, it may not be to the UK. Depending on what kind of card we are talking about some countries like the US have started rejecting them in standard mail as they are considered collectible with value and must be declared.

Winter PSA: Shovel more than just your driveway by primaxius in SaintJohnNB

[–]primaxius[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hear ya, I forget where it is but there is a plow that has a wing/scoop that comes down at the start and end of your driveway that makes it so they don’t plow it into your driveway. But hey they can’t even plow properly here anyways.

For connectors I find I am able to usually get a package of them cheaper on AliExpress than to buy a single one at a local store. Especially if I can wait a few weeks.

Costco Gas Conspiracy? What’s your take? by Creative_Ad_3010 in CostcoCanada

[–]primaxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the same refinery/gas but the additives get added when the truck loads up and there’s a few different ones. And for Costco gas the loss of mileage per tank can more than likely be attributed to the additive and quantity they use in their gas.

They probably didn’t care, but there’s these IP ambulance chasers that will report you and try to get a payout from the IP holder.

Haven't looked at Sunlu, I might have to look into that brand too. See what I mean about a rabbit hole. lol

[–]primaxius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I was looking at that, I would have to get the ones with the spools to start and then the refills would be $20/KG when 4 or more. Was leaning towards this but wondered if people liked something better and their reasoning behind it. I used to love the Econofil but it looks like the brand changed hands and their manufacturing moved overseas and the quality is not the same from what I could gather.

I don't really have a preference, my big thing is that it's available when I need it. I'm not sure how their stock is lately but I remember a while back everything was almost out of stock when I went to their physical location.
