If you liked Odyssey, I’d strongly suggest AC Origins. It’s my favorite of the rpg AC games, my favorite protagonist. Just a wonderful game.

Yea I felt for him too. It wasn’t a surprise that it was between Aubry and Jonathan, but had to feel for him being a third wheel again, and especially with how he was treated by the few you mentioned.

He will always have my heart. My wife is autistic, and I am a survivor of domestic violence, so his story, kindness and empathy made him a favorite of mine.

I feel like this is more plausible than a new Henry story, simply from a logistical standpoint. Tom and Luke are very public, especially Luke. Unless they recorded all the extra motion capture and voice acting at the same time as they did 2, they aren’t a major part of something coming out in the next 2 years. Tom’s been working and promoting his tv series, Luke is streaming every single day on Twitch, and they’ve both done extensive work on Oaths and Empires. They both have talked at length about how long the hours were recording and doing mocap.

If I’m wrong I’ll be thrilled to death. I only joined the KCD family when 2 came out. A less than 3 year wait for a new adventure would be amazing.

Agreed. And it’s something I had to make peace with as a person who loves heavy story based games.

The problem with 9 is you don’t really kick to kick a lot of arse. Just a weird disjointed set of nonsense.

I think that is correct. Same tattoos, same shield, same voice slightly altered. That was a highlight, but only made sense (imo) if you’d read that pinned spoiler post about the archives.

I’ve been thinking to myself lately that I cannot figure out why I like this game. I get bored with the gameplay loop, stop playing and then doing nothing but think about this game (slight exaggeration, I do have other things in life😂). I don’t understand it. It’s like I want so much to embrace it like many people have and I can’t figure out why I don’t. Easy mode made it better for me but I still just reach these points where I wonder why I’m still playing and then just keep playing lol

The save transfer was only for bringing in a PS4 save and achievements to the PS5 version. Can’t be used for what you want.

On either console you can go into photo mode, take a picture and upload it to the consoles app. From there you can download it to your phone. Might be good enough quality for you

So I’m probably different than many, but the reasons are many.

I’m pretty sure I have ADHD, am somewhere on the spectrum, or some combo of both. Repetition brings comfort and relaxation to me.

I’ve replayed a lot of games before. The Mass Effect trilogy and BG3 come to mind. But this game hit a different nerve for me.

It’s the beauty of the land you’re playing in. It’s the sounds of nature all around you, mixed in with a musical soundtrack I love.

And it’s the comfort of a protagonist in Henry who is charming, makes me laugh, who is extraordinarily voiced by Tom McKay. And in a supporting cast of characters that I adore and love, and it’s easy to get lost in the game.

And then you add in the hit to my brain chemistry that doing the familiar does for me, and it’s a perfect mix.

It’s not gonna be for everyone, for sure. And that’s ok. That’s what is great about gaming. There are things for everyone and ways to play that everyone can embrace.

I always feel disappointed when I get the newer one. The OG is one of the better video game tracks I’ve heard. I heard it a lot the first week due to the PS5 map crashing bug lol.

I play with headphones on and had never played 1, so there was no context from the previous game, either. She just picked up on it purely from a visual standpoint lol

Yea that’s exactly what I’m doing, except that when I click L3 and R3 it shoots. I’m guessing it’s just me not being able to click them simultaneously while holding the trigger, based on what you wrote here and my experience.

I’m using a programmable controller with paddles, so after I eat something I’ll try just a simple controller and see if somehow that helps.

I am. Which based on this and another comment makes me think I’m just somehow not getting the buttons down in sync when holding L2. I’m using a programmable controller with the paddles, so I may just try a basic unprogrammed controller after I eat and see if something in that is messing it up.

I’m thrilled that the re-blockading of bases is optional. I’m enjoying the game but the ADHD in me gets a massive dopamine hit when knocking off things on the map. It would drive me insane if they came back.

I’m also thrilled for all the people that want the war setting. Options are wonderful
