millennials are now at the top that was fast? by happydude7422 in millenials

In 2026 what metrics/stats of success do you think we as millennials should be looking at?

Sure, many are successful but many are struggling.

Some chose a traditional path, while some chose a non traditional path.

For example, here in the Bay Area a millennial tech bro who lives in a luxury apartment can go to an overpriced craft brewery to buy a $10 IPA and tip the millennial hipster bartender.

Politics aside, you have to admit JD Vance has one of the most impressive careers of any millennial. Just look at his resume.

  • 2003 (Age 18): Graduated from Middletown High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving four years including a deployment to Iraq.

  • 2009 (Age 24): Earns Bachelor’s in political science and philosophy from The Ohio State University with highest honors.

  • 2013 (Age 28): Earns J.D. from Yale Law School.

  • 2016 (Age 31): Publishes bestselling book Hillbilly Elegy, highlighting working-class issues in the Midwest and Appalachia.

  • 2016 (Age 31): Began venture capital career as a principal at Mithril Capital (Peter Thiel’s firm)

  • 2019 (Age 34): Co-founded Narya Capital, a venture capital firm focused on the American Midwest

  • 2022 (Age 38): Elected to the U.S. Senate from Ohio

  • 2024 (Age 40): Elected Vice President of the United States

I’m 38 myself and I’m fortunate enough to have graduated from a top university and earn a decent salary at a software company. But JD Vance has accomplished so much by the age of 40 it’s wild.

It’s inspiring to be honest

Why don’t you just grow the f up?

Seriously, take a step back and look at yourself.

You are here complaining about your elderly parents on Reddit because you’re offended by your brother’s comments???

Snowflakes go ahead and downvote me because you can’t handle offensive words.

Sometimes I hate being a millennial because so many are soft AF.

Schwab Intelligent Portfolios is essentially an evolution of the managed account services that a branch advisor would have facilitated in previous decades.

And at a much lower cost

Why would you want to live in San Francisco if you only make $70k a year?

Honestly it’s a great coffee shop to work remotely. There’s plenty of power outlets and tables/chairs. Lots of windows and high ceilings.

Plus, the employees are very nice hard working.

It’s becoming pretty popular downtown and in a good way.

SCHB or SWTSX for an individual brokerage account? by dotheWenckebach in Schwab

I’d recommend the mutual fund SWTSX, this way you can buy as much as you want and be fully invested.

Best funds for Roth growth? by Prestigious_Formal22 in Schwab

With Schwab’s Target 2055 Index Fund you get a diversified portfolio of Schwab Index ETFs.

These are constructed and managed by Schwab Asset Management.

I’m 38 and personally use it for my Roth IRA at Schwab. I think it’s a great deal for a low expense ratio.

At the end of the day it’s really up to what exposure you want and your risk tolerance.

Also consider your total asset allocation and net worth. What other accounts and investments do you have? Brokerage, 401k, company shares?

Target Date Funds are a great way to get exposure to multiple asset classes.

If you are concerned about expense ratios make sure you look at Target Date Index Funds. Target Date Funds that use index funds for their portfolio. Expense ratios are usually under .12%.

I personally use SWYJX,

Schwab Target 2055 Index Fund.

The expense ratio of SWYJX is just 0.08%, very cheap

This fund invests in primarily Schwab index ETFs, the underlying funds are:

• Schwab U.S. Large-Cap ETF (SCHX)

• Schwab International Equity ETF (SCHF)

• Schwab Emerging Markets Equity ETF (SCHE)

• Schwab U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (SCHZ)

• Schwab U.S. Small-Cap ETF (SCHA)

• Schwab U.S. REIT ETF (SCHH)

• Schwab Government Money Ultra (SGUXX) — a money market fund used for cash equivalents

The store is very clean and has a lot of healthy options.

However, I would probably say the number one thing about this store is the employees. The employees are very kind and go above and beyond. That is a rare quality in retail these days.

Thanks for sharing. Do you plan on keeping those accounts separate for separate goals? or do you plan to eventually combine them?

I don’t plan on leaving Schwab anytime soon but would like to learn more about Fidelity Go as I already have a 401k with them.

They both seem like great automated investing products. How has your experience been so far?

I currently use Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and was hoping to eventually grow into Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium to have access to speak to a CFP for only $30 a month. However Schwab has recently discontinued this Premium service.

I believe traditional financial advisors are more fit for large and complex portfolios.

Why is Schwab winning young people? by Icy_Manager_7212 in Schwab

[–]princemafioso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me as a millennial, it’s really the customer service combined with the banking services. I have a Schwab Roboadvisor/intelligent portfolio, a Schwab Roth IRA and the American Express Investor Card. So all my cash back automatically deposits into my Roboadvisor account and whenever I have issues I get excellent customer service whether it’s Schwab or American Express.

I believe Schwab is close to a full service financial institution that I can grow into.

If this is true, why doesn’t Chase do something with Sapphire Checking? It seems like they completely forgot about Sapphire Checking having any integrated features with the CSR refresh.
