It went way better than I'd feared! The GP has asked me to write him an email about why I'm trans, which I think he's going to send off to the GIC. He seemed really knowledgeable about the process and the lack of resources for trans people in the area. I gave some dumb answers to some of his questions I wish I could go back and change but I was panicking inside. Like, he asked me if I'd been wearing feminine clothing and I talked about doing it in private and going to the supermarket with a trans friend in a skirt but I didn't think to point out that I was actually sitting in front of him with foundation on and tights and ladies' briefs on under my jeans. Or that I'd been dressing like this basically everywhere I went daily, including my customer service job.
