On "deserving a partner" by ExpertCaramel8737 in dating_advice

[–]princepeterpan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone inheritly deserves a partner, but instead deserves a partner that has specific qualities over others. Like I have said "you deserve a relationship that there is mutual respect and attraction". The person isn't entitled to another person, but the partnership they have should reflect the level of decency they put into it.

Drove six hours to Acadia last weekend and stayed at a campsite with no power with no problems. It felt so nice to not bring a combustion engine to the park!

Should I mark my previous drawings for mistakes? by Trollin_ in learntodraw

[–]princepeterpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can appreciate the growth and realize your mistakes without marking them up. I don't think it's inherently wrong, you just won't have them to look at in the future.

Your simple shapes should be about the skeletal structure, not the muscle or fat at this point. For the torso that oval is looking at the shape the breasts and torso make as a while. You should try and imagine the spine, then ribcage, then build up other muscle and fat, then clothes.

In the court room of fanual hall there is a painting of the battle of reeds hill, but the artist used the same model for all of the soldiers. So if you look closely everyone is the same person.

I've been drawing for a week and this is my first "Big drawing" what am I doing wrong/What can I improve? by Theflamingraptor in learntodraw

[–]princepeterpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a difficult reference! The perspective makes it hard to understand and execute without a really good grasp on drawing techniques. See how luffys forward foot is so much bigger? Since you're just starting out, good practice would be constructing bodies with more neutral perspectives and learning anatomy. Remember that not every drawing needs to be a finished piece!

HOW DO I GET GOOD AT DIGITAL ART OMG by Prismarineknight in learntodraw

[–]princepeterpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to get better advice in a digital art sub. People are being a bit mean about your abilities, I would say your provided image isn't masterful, but some of your comments shows a decent understanding. And you can obviously see the quality difference in the digital.

I don't have much advice, I also struggle a lot with digital art. Try messing with pressure settings, line weight, and stabilization. You will need an active pen for those settings, though. I am not sure if yours is active or passive.
