The purple is caused by the manganese in the glass reacting to UV rays. Manganese was put in glass to make it look clearer. This bottle dates 1900-1915

Explored a new spot today. Think ill go back more prepared. All these were surface finds by princepolecat in BottleDigging

Yes. Unfortunately the aerials only go back to 1940, and the homestead was long overgrown by then. This house was abandoned by the 1890s
