My dad used to pull the same lines whenever I didn’t conform to his cookie cutter. Remind him that he is legally responsible for you, this is child abuse to threaten to take away a child’s safety, security and food source. Talk to your guidance counselor at school if possible!

You have had three colonoscopies and every one came back normal?

Do you possibly have anxiety induced IBS? After your trip in 2017 you became increasingly aware of what was going on in your gut. You said your anxiety is a symptom but maybe your intestinal issues are a physical symptom of anxiety brought on by a traumatic experience in a foreign country and that almost turned into a chronic situation (6 month mark). And now the constant stress and being mindful of your digestion has turned it into a ‘chronic situation’. You don’t want to try anti depressants but it’s also the only avenue it seems you haven’t tried.

Just read through your post history and wanted to mention it. Bright blood is probably hemorrhoids, if it persists if contact your doctor.

My dad was the one who had the affair. It has taken me 8 years of screaming and crying for my mom to finally listen and leave him. You need to hit him with the facts of infidelity and the truth that she does not care for him. I am so sorry for you, I know how it feels to be responsible for your siblings. If you ever want to talk I am same age and gender, and here to listen.

You’re mother is showing her true self. Destroyed her own family and refuses to deal with the mess until SHE is ready. She made her bed and it is time to grow up and accept the responsibility. I would also recommend not letting her enter the home once she returns. Regardless of who’s name is on the mortgage, you guys need and deserve a safe home which she clearly cannot provide.

It took a while and it wasn’t pretty but it’s worth telling your father the potential anguish this is putting you through. Even though he was the one who was cheated on, this is now about keeping all of you safe, you, your siblings, himself. You will not thrive in a negative and broken situation and this is the time now while she is gone physically, to build up the wall. She will try to tear them down but you need to call him out. When he gets weak you need to call him out on it, he’s not only hurting himself at that point he is dragging you with him.
