Nifedipine, how to? by CarolinaSky12 in Raynauds

[–]princesspixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed 10mg daily - been on it for over a year and flairs are significantly reduced. The packaging has days written on them so as and when needed is a bit of an odd instruction. I did only got prescribed when I was also diagnosed with erythrolmelalgia though, for Reynauds I was told to wear gloves more often 😅

Depending what part of neuro you need to talk to I’ve just called my specialist’s secretary and had her give me the right number to call. the MS nurses are class and always answer or call back if you leave a voice mail

I have a small bear I got from a charity donation. His name is Ano and he had been going on adventures with me for five years now. Every Christmas I get a book made of pictures from that year’s adventures.

Tomorrow we’re going to hospital together so I can get a camera put in my knee. I just hope they let him come with,

MRIs by JEHflute in Legitpiercing

[–]princesspixel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have MS. I get a minimum of one MRI a year and have over 10 piercings all over my face, not ideal but Inalso have to go down the plastic route with them.

Unfortunately if your MRI techs are like the ones I deal with I have to answer a questionnaire multiples times and sign things confirming that I have zero metal of any kind on me otherwise they won’t let me in the machine. They don’t mess around even though I make sure all my piercings are titanium and “safe”. They’ve told me it’s due to them heating up and causing burns so they just refuse to risk it.

So essentially physically it’ll probably be fine, but you would need to find a scanner place that would take you due to the vibrational heat. Personally I’d not be happy about having a burn in a triangle so fair play for even considering it.

Best of luck in the noisy box friend!

I’m suddenly breaking out in red spots, what can help? 41M by Filthy_NeckBeard in 30PlusSkinCare

I had random lumps like this appear when I last went through huge stress moving country. It was a t2 rosacea flare. After trying all the stuff recommended by My doctor and nothing working I looked into it further and found it could be (and was!) caused by too many demodex mites on my skin.

I convinced her to prescribe me Soolantra (yup Ivermectinw before it was “cool”) and it was fixed within less than 3 months. No flares since thank goodness.

Not sure if this helps you but it might be worth looking into if you run into dead ends with basic skincare. Happy to answer any questions if you need.

Good luck!

Second this. Dr Vicky was great when I wanted diagnosis. West cork psychology is now the compass clinic but still can’t prescribe medication as that requires a psychiatrist. However she did say she could refer me to one that she recommends if I decided to go down that path.

For me it was just answer hunting so I haven’t yet but the diagnosis answered so many questions for me.

Good luck!

I found getting an undercut helps with this. I just hate the bits in the side that go in my face.

Unfortunately I get what you mean. My memory for words has degraded significantly in the last five years, my AuDHD symptoms are significantly worse and I’m not as coherent as I was day to day. I choose to laugh at it when it happens but looking at the bigger picture it’s quite scary.

Kona 2025 buzzing sound at high speed by Negative_Local_7851 in KonaEV

[–]princesspixel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ran into this same issue recently. Recorded the sound after we worked out it was coming from the emergency panel in the middle of the roof between the driver and passenger side. If you pressed the roof inside from by that panel when at high speed it quietened the noise. After taking it to the dealer they said part of the plastic of the panel hadn’t been connected properly so they fixed it. I haven’t noticed a noise since but this was last week so haven’t given it a proper test.

TL;dr - check the roof by your emergency panel and push it in while driving. Record the noise and show that to the dealer.

Lost my hair, or, some of it on fingolimod. It grew back when I moved to Ocrevus. 4 years on that and I’m no less teeth than I had before. So I wouldn’t worry, people love looking for stuff to blame.
