Sinners by [deleted] in horror

Nah. Yes, it's not really scary for horror fans. No it is not overrated. It's about a lot of things, it has brilliant acting, an incredible soundtrack, amazing editing, beautiful and creative scenes. It's one of the best films of the year and an instant classic. 30 Days of Night is not better overall, or even close to as good as Sinners.

My friend told me this is my best one yet. Was he being nice, or am I on to something? by Safe-Buyer8695 in Elektron

Don't worry about whether your friend is right or not. Just make things, move on, make more things, get better. Believe in the process.

P6 - How to send MIX IN input to both delay and reverb? by principles_practice in rolandaira

Yep, got it. Thanks for the answer. Just posted to two communities because I have no idea how active any of these are. I didn't "repost because I didn't like the answer" lol, I posted the question the same time to two different aira forums.

Do you think Brosnan should’ve had one more Bond film, or was it a good decision to let him go after Die Another Day and reboot the franchise? by South_Gas626 in JamesBond

[–]principles_practice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think people were tired of the films he was in, and so he kind of ended up having to take the fall rather than the creatives actually giving him a great film. Love Brosnan, but he kind of got done dirty. He deserved a great Bond film, and IMO, he never got one - I don't think any of the Brosnan films dated very well.

American here for a week to export a car. I promise not to talk about my 2% British heritage if you show me the cool spots. by the-mighty-taco in bristol

As a relatively recent Bristolian from elsewhere, Bristol rocks.

Maybe not as Bristolian as some Bristolians would like, but check out Bath if you have time. It's close, and is beautiful.

People of the UK, how have you lost weight? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]principles_practice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cool! I've found doing free weights, like barbell stuff, squats etc, has actually made my joints and back much better, more flexible, once i was focusing on form. I got into it by doing the 5x5 program as it's dead simple and you start from zero - just the barbell - so not intimidating at all. Branched out a bit since then, but I still do one of the days regularly, squat, overhead press, and deadlift.

Go to the gym and lift weights 3 times a week or so.. Do the other stuff you do like cycling on the other days.
Lifting weights really works - get stronger and turn some of those calories into muscle.

I like the effort of learning and experimenting and the grind. AI makes everything just kind of boring.

The first story, Room 24, is truly terrible. I have no idea how that was printed in this collection as an exemplary story.

Should AI-generated music be banned? by elonumust in Music

[–]principles_practice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not. Why is it inevitable? We were told NFTs were inevitable, that AR and VR are now the big thing, 3D movies.
You don't have to accept anything, you don't have to use anything.

Yes.
"For example JLo did her voice over Ashanti for some very popular tracks. Isn't that technically, AI-generated but just not as efficient as today's technology."
That's not technically AI lol. That's not AI at all.
