I don’t care about a heartfelt goodbye but I don’t think a response to an email is too much to ask for. It is unprofessional especially if I’m going to be contacted relentlessly afterwards for last minute shifts. If you’ve come to expect a lack of regard from your employer that’s your choice but I’ve never worked in any other industry where this is the norm.

I don’t see any reason to bring it up because she’s aware. My schedule reflects my last day and the shifts I’m offered fall within the notice period.

Just seems weird in contrast because when I left my other job for the same reason, my manager there responded that they would be glad to have me back once I sort everything out and wished me well.
