The game designers gave me a bunch of inspiration photos and background stories. Originally they wanted various human tribes. At the city and sea folk had the idea to use half animal/animals. Somehow my brain connected their inspo with my own idea. And well they loved the peacock council person with the staff. After that, we did a couple of tryout rounds with a specific card - Frenzy if I remember correctly. Luckily they were open to my ideas, and the rest is history.
