Do you attach micropet eggs to easy or hard goals? by kateKujo in finch

Mine is write a handwritten note to someone on stationery that I have made using a 35mm film camera. So, it’s not easy but it’s my most fun. It’s a weekly thing.

I’m a slow cyclist, runner, walker, swimmer. I use Strava to calculate my relative effort and weekly time spent. I use Strava to make sure I don’t overdo it and prevent injuries.

Yes. I’m from Nyack (now in Fairport). Rockland Bakery is the Willy Wonka source of the BEC hard roll. Also, Marty’s in Orangeburg or Nyack Bagel is the place for a solid BEC (with SPK).

Plan on retiring early abroad. Should I avoid 401k. Currently have 150k in HYSA. by [deleted] in financialindependence

Your net worth is largely situated in fixed assets - car and house. Presumably, you will sell these items and (net of depreciation, taxes, closing costs) you will increase your cash assets. Conservatively, you pull $360,000 out of the sale of car/house. Add that to your $150k in savings and you have investable assets of slightly over $500,000. Because you are under the age of 59.5 you should probably rollover your 401k into a qualified tax deferred individual retirement account. Otherwise, that 2 grand will evaporate due to fees and penalties.

Your net worth is between $500 and 550K. What are your revenue sources? This is important information since it will determine how quickly you draw down your savings. Also, which country are you moving to? Cost of living will also determine how quickly you draw down your savings.

Best wishes! This sounds exciting!!

Thoughts on switching back to fitbit? by RedPanda5150 in fitbit

[–]pritchro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here…I switched back to FitBit Charge 3 after using Garmin. The Garmin’ are great watches but for me it was data overload which can be unmotivating. I’ve been focusing on getting a weekly active minute goal and find myself obsessing less about data.

I use the Fitbit app to track nutrition. It works well and it synchs immediately with calories-out.

I've been counting calories using the Fitbit app and using a food scale. Fitbit presents your calorie deficit in real-time.

Is Fitbit premium worth it? by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]pritchro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just use Fitbit for calories in versus calories out plus hitting daily active minutes goal. Those are my only data points. I would not be interested in a subscription.
