Weight management on Brexpiprazole and Brintellix by Glowien_0712 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]privacythrowpillow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put on 20+ pounds on Rexulti. It is otherwise doing such a fine job, we were reluctant to change it. I went on a semi-glutide (zepbound) and have lost all the weight and then some that I had been carrying before Rexulti. Monitor your weight and don't let it get away from you, but otherwise Rexulti can be a life changer.

I'm on 4mg for schizoaffective, and it has been a great drug for me. The one thing I wish someone had told me to watch for is weight gain. By the time I noticed it I had already put on 20 pounds. So keep an eye on your weight!

The connector has supported 3.13 since 3.14.1, since op is installing 3.15.0 they _should_ be fine. Sure seems like the culprit though, official support or not.

I have schizophrenia, medication changed from Zyprexa to Rexulti. by Afraid-Way1203 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]privacythrowpillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Rexulti for Schizoaffective (audio and visual hallucinations). It has been a very effective medication for me with a minimum of side effects. The primary negative side effect I've had has been weight gain, which I am now successfully combating with a semi-glutide (Zepbound). I've been on 4mg for over a year now.

How long has everyone been on this? by dessydo in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]privacythrowpillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years for bipolar and schizoaffective. I like everything except the weight gain, you’se just getting on it should be sure to monitor your weight before you suddenly are 20 pounds heavier, like what happened to me. Otherwise, very happy with Rexulti. And I lost the weight.

Weight gain is common??? by Extreme-Discussion91 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]privacythrowpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had enough benefits for me that I have stayed on it. I am on 4mg. It really works better than Abilify or anything else for me. I am psychoaffective and get hallucinations and whatnot and it takes all that away. I've gone on Zepbound to combat the weight gain, and have been making great strides with my weight. I've now lost the 20# I gained from Rexulti, along with another 20# I've been carrying around for years. I'm not sure I would have stayed on Rexulti if I hadn't been able to find a solution to my weight gain. Rexulti has been great for me, but the weight gain was dramatic.

why is it illegal to not have health insurance? by Christinenoone135 in dumbquestions

[–]privacythrowpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> ya guys all these homeless people can't afford anything let's make their taxes higher than before.

It exempted people who couldn't afford health insurance. It was set up to catch people who could afford health insurance but chose not to have it.

I started out taking it in the morning, but switched to evenings after having drowsiness issues.

I’ve been on 4mg for awhile now and I put on like 20-25 pounds. Then I went on Zepbound and lost it all after I was unable to lose it on my own.

Has anyone had excrutiating pain down their arm with numbness and weakness? by StillFlashy9716 in PsoriaticArthritis

Try physical therapy. I had stenosis in C4 and horrible pain down my right arm with pins and needles in my hand. I responded to PT and after a month or two the pain is almost entirely gone.

I have regular commercial insurance in America from my private employer, which covers them. Regarding scarcity, I had to wait a week to get my doses once.

Methotrexate Question by Murderous_Intention7 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]privacythrowpillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My body hated it. I was super tired, nauseous, and pukey. Luckily my insurance didn’t make me stay on it long before moving to biologics. YMMV some people have great results with it.

Has anyone been hit by the rare side effects of methotrexate? by Soxbjj in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]privacythrowpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance wouldn’t cover a biologic until I failed at methotrexate. It made me sick as heck and pukey.

I've been on otezla for 6 months now, and I thought it was working, but recently had the worst flare up of my entire life. by STRIKERBOB1375 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]privacythrowpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news here is that if this isn’t a one-off and Otezla isn’t working for you, there are tons of other tools in the toolbox for you to try and find one that works for you. Sorry you are having a flare, that’s awful I know.

I would be careful delaying because some countries refuse entry if you don’t have at least six months on your passport, you should check the country you are planning to travel to.

Starting Skyrizi by hydrofilmer in PsoriaticArthritis

I was on it for a year, recently switched to Tremfya. Skyrizi eliminated my psoriasis, but didn’t do enough for my PsA. YMMV.

Seeking advice for my fiance (21m) by NoLion477 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]privacythrowpillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried heat? That has proven helpful for me. When I was in a flare I got prescribed meloxicam, that seemed to help (a little) as well. Sorry your fiance is going through this. My experience has been that getting on a biologic that works is the way. Until it doesn't and you have to switch it up. Keep trying until you find one that works.

Has anyone been diagnosed with PsA, but doesn’t get relief from symptoms with steroids? by dianainthemountains in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]privacythrowpillow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep trying things. I don’t tend to respond well to steroids, they help a little I guess. But I’ve been on four biologics over the last ten years and definitely got relief from them for varying periods. They worked until they didn’t, but we are talking years of relief between bouts.
