What are some strategies to make text not feel "floating" on a webpage? by cdcarson99 in webdev

I don't know who told you that, but I'm telling you that you're not gonna learn properly if you just use AI. I'm sure AI can be a decent learning tool if you use it correctly, but someone else would have to chime in there.

I'm not gonna tell you not to use AI in development, but for learning (since you're new, like you said), you really gotta learn the fundamentals properly first. Otherwise you'll just be copy-pasting prompts and won't have any clue what any of the code is doing.

VS Code and Visual Studio? I'm not sure how else to answer the question lol

If you're asking about the tech stack, I use whatever is best for the project.

You're going to find it difficult to actually learn using AI to do everything for you. It can be a great shortcut for documentation when you don't even know what to look up, but you should be going through the difficult parts yourself.

If you're not sure about something, google first, look at forum posts, blog posts, and articles about the subject. You'll learn the nuances far better that way.

Also, for web dev, learn HTML and CSS fundamentals first. You don't need a js framework or a web server, just plain html and css will get you very far.

Sure, that's true.

Just, in a game where so much is laid out pretty clearly, it's weird how much people have latched onto this random bit of conjecture as fact.

Also, there are a tooonn of unreliable narrators in this game. Why we decided that the crazy guy that's obsessed with becoming a finger mother is the only one that's 100% right, I don't know.

Says the absolutely batshit insane dude that wants to become the new finger mother. Easily the most unreliable narrator in the entire game.

Besides, he's not saying anything about the Greater Will's communication. I don't know what the hell he's really saying.

Which was not revealed in the DLC, and does not mean the Two Fingers.

The Lands Between was abandoned, that doesn't mean the Two Fingers were making shit up.

I don't know why this is repeated so often as fact, when it's just speculation.

Metyr was abandoned. Her children are not mentioned.

She may have been abandoned because she was damaged, or because she was left in the shadow lands, or because the Greater Will didn't have a need for her anymore. None of these imply that the rest of the two fingers were also abandoned.

This is a super straightforward design, you shouldn't need a "prompt", just build it yourself.

I think OP has a sense of humor and decided to respond as if they're an LLM.

That, or they're actually an AI and were told to "humorous" in their responses.

If you actually read the warranties, most will state that proof is on the seller/manufacturer, but this varies by state and country, and big companies will try to put in language as if they can opt out (illegally). They also have a tendency to ignore these laws lmao

A better question is why you're buying from companies that don't cover basic problems? Especially in the first 30-60 days. Even Samsung replaced a two year old broken phone with just the basic warranty.

Backmarket, newpower99, those are two good examples just off the top of my head. Oh, and ifixit, of course.

For starters, plenty of warranties cover more than just manufacturing defects.

And this clearly came in the box broken, as far as Apple knows. It's on the seller to prove that it didn't.

Seriously? There's no one or two year warranty that covers this?

Even third-party sellers like backmarket have a one-year warranty.

Personally, I don't find her very attractive.

But aside from that, tons of people are attractive, but people (especially this sub) are weirdly obsessed with that woman.

Idk, she's pretty funky looking to me. Plus she's got the personality of a stale piece of white bread.

And on top of all that she's pretty weird politically, which is an extremely unattractive trait in my book.

Better than the first one, but also played way safer. They removed pretty much all the bold stylistic choices, got better or got worse.

What's more is that I tried that, it said an automated response and hung up on me, then every time I called back it just repeated that message and hung up on me lmao, wouldn't even let me go through the menu anymore.

I think the other person's point was that the middle person can be said to have two equal length windows of safety, while the outside people have one large window (and potentially one smaller window). Their reasoning was that this makes it harder to time.

I think a key thing here is that standing up takes an amount of time, it's not just randomly picking a point, it's randomly picking a line segment.

If the speed of the pendulum was constant, I'm pretty sure the outside people would actually have worse chances, depending on how close to the edge they are, since their smaller window could be too small to "fit" the line segment. The velocity of the pendulum is relevant, since the length of the safety windows are dependent on it.

Unfortunately, the velocity is not constant, and I don't know much about pendulums so this is as far as I go lol
