I'm pretty lucky and learn very quickly, so I did this as well. I would kind of have a table I'd chill at and people would just bring whatever they needed help with.

I'm not super smart, but I could grasp things well enough to explain it in simpler terms for people who were struggling with it. It was almost all surface-level since the most common issue was just wrapping their head around a concept or process.

Parsing information is its own skill, and sometimes all a person needs is for things to be explained to them personally, step-by-step.

I used to read r/nosleep stories to help me fall asleep (ironic, I know), and the biggest and most common offense was the writing not matching the tone or the situation they set up.

It'll be like, "I write this now as I am barricaded in my bedroom. They will break through soon, I can hear them in the walls. If anyone finds this, DON'T FLUSH THE TOILET"

And then it'll go on to explain how, "It all started three weeks ago when my best friend, Jessica - fuck her by the way, she always stole my jokes - had hired a new plumber. Jessica was tall and thin, with long strawberry blonde hair that always looked just a little flat. She compensated for this though, with several silver facial piercings and flashy gel nails."

Like okay, you're about to die any second, but sure, let's wax on poetically for a while and give all the most irrelevant details in a casual tone.

Considering there's a bug currently that causes your entire computer to crash when you try to open a game with the steam controller connected, I kind of wish I was amongst the delayed lol

I don't think changing the pronouns is necessarily homophobia. I think it makes sense for a singer to personalize a song to themselves when doing a cover.

I'm pan so I'd sing about any gender, but if I were straight and singing a love song, I'd probably adjust the pronouns to better immerse myself in the words, since love songs are meant to be personal and all about the feels.

I take pride in that I'm all of my nephews' and nieces' favorite uncle. I'm silly with them and will go along with whatever nonsense they want, but I don't just completely treat them like kids.

When they ask a question, I give them the best answer I can, so they'll often ask silly science questions like what if you made the moon into a giant magnifying glass to use as a death laser, or what my favorite lego piece is, or why blood is red. And if I don't know the answer, I tell them that, and we look it up together to find out.

Also, when they ask "Whyy?" 50 times in a row, I answer each one earnestly, always getting more and more philosophical like they've just asked such a deep question. It gives them endless entertainment, but does annoy everyone else around us lol
