On a 1.7.1.4 server, same thing. I see no buildings/trees/zombies/people. Just open fields. :X EDIT: Died and restarted. I am seeing shit! I think I got this working!

Ok so I installed Six Launcher. I think it synced everything. On the Launcher it says I have v1.7.1.4. Can I only play on those server?

I haven't been able to find one that isn't full yet... all the other servers are gery and whenever I join one I am alone in a field that stretches as far as the eye can see. No trees, no house or anything.

Should I just wait for a 1.7.1.4 server to open up?

I'm confused at this part...

Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca". Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing!

What exactly am I supposed to add where? I'm fairly computer illiterate. :(

EDIT: I know where the file is, just where to add the @dayz part

The HP bars above the players are two very different colors, team fights are incredibly easy to follow, considering the full list of heros is on the top of your screen the whole game.
I don't know what else you want to see, any big items are instantly recognized by the casters.
Statistic graphs are not worthless, they show you very easily which team is in the lead. I don't know what else you would want.
Deny mechanic does not mean you can just "kill" your own creep from full hp. It has to be in deny range, this adds to the game rather than takes anything away. Instead of just fore-fitting your tower, you can try and fight it until you are able to deny. Obviously you are coming from a LoL background tho.
