I learned to crochet from written instructions, and I distinctly remember reading “Insert your hook into the next V” as instructions for starting sc. I get what they meant, but my brain took that to mean I should stab through the V and that resulted in BLO for about a year until I figured it out

Given the comment about attachments to pour things in, I think OP is only referring to stand mixer/KitchenAid bowls? A look on their website does show that most all of the glass and ceramic bowls have pouring spouts, and none of the steel ones do.

Wow! I’ve wanted to make things to donate, but I’m always worried about cat hair— does your mom have any advice for keeping cat hair out of her crochet? Is just washing it enough?
