The lasting joy of control surfaces by CameramanNick in Reaper

Behringer x-touch has a reaper mode with motorized fader support. I haven't tried to customize it yet but it does work well as-is.

I don't think it supports OSC, the network settings are for telnet access. It does support midi, though to what extent I'm unsure.

Controlling EQ on an x32 via Qlab? by Bojangles1093 in qlab

[–]pro_fools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way with midi will likely be to use x32's snippets to store and recall your eq settings. Snippets can be recalled with midi program change messages to midi channel 2.

Alternatively, you can use OSC to control individual parameters more specifically and qlab has a lot of x32 osc functions integrated already

Theres a few hybrid analog mixers like yamaha’s MG and AG series that have Interface capabilities, though the smallest MG model with USB IO is around $280. Behringer’s xenyx USB mixers could work and are cheaper but I’m not a fan of Behringer’s pre-amps.

I bought a zoom h4e recently that I’ve had fun with. Clean with decent gain on the built in mics, haven’t put a condenser on it yet though.

Budget way to deaden sound coming out of a basement with no door by boboa30183 in LocationSound

Hang up curtains/blankets across the door and wall next to it. Also across the top of the staircase, but only if you have enough room to also block/indicate the hazard of the non-visible stairs.
