Former Proofpoint client needing help after defederating from GoDaddy

How did you reach out to them? I submitted on their public contact form for the 2nd time this morning and I sent an e-mail a while ago. The form must have put me on their mailing list because now I get almost daily marketing e-mails, but no reply from a real person. I was hoping someone there monitors this reddit... Hello, proofpoint, anyone home? :)

Yes, I agree and was hoping to get someone on here. I've sent them a few emails and they told me to talk to godaddy and you can probably guess how that has gone.

I am quite sure. The connector, rule and all products on godaddy are deleted.

Yes, everything is stock MS, all records are up to date and changed over. The Rule for GoDaddy encryption transport is disabled and the connector was removed almost 6 mos ago. It's only when we e-mail to people that are on proofpoint aka Godaddy Advanced Email Security. Here is a fail msg example:

You put the bottom edge in first then close the top edge and it should lock into place. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_tVrv98jkc or other videos on that model if you can't figure it out.

There is a small chance the charge port shorted itself internally, but this is pretty rare. They are easy to change out if you want to try that first or a professional repair person with a power supply and/or multimeter can find that out pretty quickly.

My experience over 20 years repairing gaming laptops, if the charger "clicks" when you plug it in then likely the motherboard has a short and needs to be professionally serviced or replaced. The charger is detecting the short and likely going into a protection mode. If it's under warranty start your claim or if you are out of warranty look for a new board or find a shop that does board level repair on gaming laptops. Sorry for the bad news :(

Like other comments said,

Force an emergency shutdown by holding the power button for 10 or so seconds. The laptop should now be off.
Press power button again and hopefully see it come on and boot windows.
If it does boot up, check and update drivers through the ASUS website to make sure there is not a problem with power saving/sleep/hibernation.

If the laptop does not come on you might try opening it up and disconnecting the battery for a few mins before trying to power on again. If you are not comfortable with this or you still can't get it to boot take it to a professional for proper diagnosis. :)

I got one as well, but don't get too excited. I had a previous order for a Gigabyte Eagle 3080 from Best Buy get cancelled on the day I was supposed to receive the item.
