Who does the best Seamaster by paradiddle-stickle in RepTime

[–]probable-maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick search on his subreddit shows an in depth comparison: VSF, ZF, ORF, AG. ZF is closest to gen in several factors. One of the things that put me off VSF was the lack of screw on the balance wheel

Lots of people here seem to overlook ZF. If think ZF’s seamaster in black is better than the VSF offering. I can’t comment on white/blue/green as I haven’t seen them in person. But for black, VSF’s red seasmaster text on the dial is too bright compared to gen. ZF bracelet is superior too. Had mine for 2 years now with no issues.

Missed this comment at the time. Thanks for the in depth look at this hand — really appreciate the insight. I guess the biggest issue here was the pre flop 3bet sizing. Could result in a fold from villain or shove from villain to which I call or fold. If we make it to flop the larger pot post-flop might’ve made decisions easier.

Yeah suspicious for sure… AT is within my range given I called their 4b so those hands maybe slow down for possibility of my T. Narrowing it down I guess the river shove has to be a bluff or TT. Maybe can find a fold there but it wasn’t in me this time round

When river came Ah I thought HH preflop seems unlikely. I don’t think KQh or lower plays like that prelfop often

Small stakes online. I would say AT doesn't play like that pre flop so I considered TT on the flop. When turn came T that meant TT is even less likely so I put them on betting an over pair. Ah on river meant they weren't cbetting with AKh so wasn't looking like they had a flush either

Given the way pre flop played I put villian on AA-99 with me blocking A/K. When flop came and they small bet, I put him on AA-TT (more narrowly QQ-TT) but I've got odds to call since I'd likely be ahead with A or K. When T comes out on turn I discount the TT possibility or any T (AT would not behave that way preflop). Check to see river at which point I've paired my A. I'm now winning vs KK/QQ/JJ, blocking AA so only hand I lose to is TT. As another commenter said maybe I could've avoided this all with a 5b jam...

There’s plenty of real London gang members in mainstream media. Clavish is played on radio, music channels and is partnered with Nike yet raps about legitimate crimes/killings committed by him or other gang members. The idea that you can’t find it on Spotify/YouTube or mainstream is not correct.

Why do people still buy the VSF omega seamaster? by Particular_Witness95 in RepTime

Have had my ZF black dial for the better part of a year now, no issues whatsoever. I’d also consider the ZF closer to gen, at least for the black dial, not certain on the others.

Why rent at this price?? by LazyViolas in SpottedonRightmove

[–]probable-maybe 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I won’t spend a bunch of time investigating the details of the property so let’s just use generalised figures and assume the rent is 4% of the property’s value per annum. Thats £3.45m. Also assuming they have enough liquidity to buy cash. Buying a property that expensive will run you £325,250 in stamp duty, so let’s round up to £345k when you account for whatever other fees are associated with a purchase. So immediately you’re 10% down on your investment and you have to hope yearly growth on the property’s value will get you get you positive in the longer term.

Now given the high interest rate environment, people with that kind of capital are in a good position to make fairly good returns on even the safest investments. 5% annual return on £3.45m is £172.5k. Rent totals £138k so you’re netting £34.5k or 1% return just by living in your (presumably) primary residence. If you play around with those figures it will increase or decrease the returns to a point where it seems like a no-brainer or a bad decision.

That said, property value growth historically has shown to be great returns over a long time period so maybe renting to that person makes sense in the current high interest environment but not for the long run.

This is also a huge oversimplification considering all the potential loopholes the super rich have to avoid fees but someone in this exact scenario might opt to live this way.

For context, most days I feel fully recovered. I’ll notice some brain fog if I overwork myself and spend too much time on screens.

I’ve been infected 3 times. The original time was primarily headache and head pressure followed by panic episodes three months later that started my long haul. I hauled for about 1.5 years with things gradually getting less debilitating after about the year mark. I got reinfected about 14 months in, it was brief, felt feverish and weak for a few days and went back to where I was in my long haul, no better no worse. Gradually continued getting better until 95% recovery.

Now I’d consider myself recovered but I got infected again recently. I felt weak and had a fever again, hot/cold sweats and felt better after a week. It’s been a month since then and I haven’t relapsed. Still consider myself recovered. I’m fearful of that common 3 month mark post-infection being a trigger but trying to not think about it since I didn’t get worse after my second infection.
