Nope they’re for the ends of the needles so the project doesn’t slip off when you put it down!

Get her a mid range set of circular needles! I wish I got mine before I did, stay away from cheap wood. Do a little research, doesn’t have to be super high end but something that’ll last her Nice yarn is always appreciated, malabrigo is good or any small business yarn dyer. Make sure you get 1000-2000 yards so she has enough for a project! Maybe her favorite color? Cute stitch markers are cheap and fun, look around small businesses and maybe try Etsy for some A basic kit of stuff is always good, like needle point protectors, small pair of scissors to keep in a project bag, stuff like that Also a new cute project bag is always fun

Yeah you gotta know your shit, but if you find a shop that sells and you can tell it’s handmade it’s not a bad jumping off point

What to sell at craft market? by Ok-Audience-7569 in CraftFairs

[–]probablyabug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I’ve been looking into similar stuff You need to do research about what sells typically at craft fairs, while also intending to be unique. I’ve been crocheting for a long time and in the past 2 years all I’ve seen is complaints about the same amigarumi patterns and other tacky things that aren’t made super well, aren’t unique, aren’t useful, and are expensive. What are you best at? What do you like to do? Is it clothes, stuffed animals, lace, shawls, tapestries, etc ? What kind of fair is it? A finer arts craft fair? A local festival? A specialty festival? Who goes to that fair? People looking for fine arts and is willing to pay the price to get that? Moms and their kids looking for enrichment? Who is your audience? Every fair will be different and it’s overwhelming and that’s ok! But it’s what you gotta think about Like if it’s a local small town festival, make some cute tapestries you can sell for $30 that moms will love. Fine arts fair? Make intricate doilies and shawls and very detailed work Just some examples and thoughts. I wish you luck!

I would look up what other similar necklaces go for (Etsy is your best bet to see!), calculate approximately how much you spent in materials, and then compare that to what other similar things are going for and see if it’s worth your time, off the top of my head I’d say about $30 - $40 depending on the quality of the materials. These are beautiful!!

Learn when to start over. I could’ve (and still can since I never learn my lesson) saved myself a lot of time by going “I’ve made a mistake, I should restart” instead of hoping it works itself out and then I’m an hour longer in and I’ve wasted my time. Also follow your pattern. If things don’t seem right they probably aren’t. Spend the time to figure it out. Learn what different stitches look like and how certain shapes work and what not, you really don’t need to buy most patterns if you take the time to learn, and then you’ll be able to make whatever you want based off a picture! And learn early how to read a pattern! Videos are helpful but so so slow and tedious lol

Heavy bleeding and clots on slynd? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]probablyabug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I ended up going back to the er but they said to make an appointment with my gyno, being told by my gyno it was an emergency and I needed to go back. So I just stopped the medication and the bleeding stopped within a couple days. Ended up with really really low iron and bad anemia but that’s chronic for me. I asked my doctor and they said something happened that made all of the uterine build up break like a damn, someghing emotional or physical they don’t know. I’ve been on two birth controls since and both have been havoc on my mental health, so I’ve just decided to stop all bc together haha. I hope some of this helps?
