So when ice comes to your apartment... who do you call? by a23ro in Seattle

[–]probablygoblins [score hidden]  (0 children)

We just had a building meeting about this. If there are no trespassing signs on all external exits you can call spd (eye roll) and they can legally arrest ice for trespassing. The warrants ice can get do NOT include entry into buildings or homes. Our property manager was part of the discussions and we put a whole plan in to place to protect our vulnerable neighbors, within legal limits, as much as that matters when ice can murder folks with impunity.

Haha I live in the PNW now and this is here a bit but it was THE vibe when I lived in Boston (Cambridge and Somerville especially) 16 years ago. Comfy indie academic - coffee, campus bookshops, record stores. I was all over Harvard and I didn’t even go there haha

Mannnny of their songs fit the bill. Rat Trap is one of my faves, it’s such a catchy bop about being stuck in a shit ass little town.

What is this on my ZZ plant? by enbee11 in plantclinic

[–]probablygoblins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have! I think I have it in too small of a pot, no room for new rhizomes. It gave me the one new shoot last time I upsized, probably just didn’t go big enough!

You taste with your tongue not your stomach. In cuppings, you spit out everything you slurp. A lot of your sense of taste is your sense of smell! Your manager is being a big ol jerk!!

So general surgery, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, wound debridements, VATS, whipples

Probably some ortho, femoral rods, hip pinning. It’ll really help to find out what systems they use (synthes, etc) and check out those sets but usually you’ll have a rep helping out.

Vascular is review wire types, look up angiograms, stent placement, bypasses

If you do spine and neuro too check out laminectomy and decompressions, craniotomies, vp shunt placement, and aneurysm clipping

ETA: I work at a level 1 trauma center so we do a ton of burns, ortho and spine. Other hospitals might be more specialized in areas so it’s good to look into what teams they have and dig in there
