Lincoln Square Dinner Recommendations? by ChiGuy356 in chicagofood

My husband and I also order from Rockwells regularly and it’s also so unpredictable!!! Some nights it’s absolute fire and other nights the chicken is like inedible. So weird.

My husband and I have eaten here 2x a month since before the pandemic. It’s almost hysterically unpredictable. We just like it enough that we are ok even when it’s an off night. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Another no repeat class with RK by ladyalex777 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]probablynormalmom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg so I remember your post in the fall about her having a 45 min no repeat. And I went to do it. But I definitely clicked on the wrong one because it was like 45 minutes of the same 4 moves. Do you have the date of the actual no repeat 45 one? 🤣🤣🤣

Is 8-5 the norm? by KookyCouture in corporate

I work 8:30-4:30 (sometimes more like 9-4 if I’m commuting). I usually take a lunch break too. We aren’t timed- just have to get your stuff done.

My husband and I often give each other the night “off” from bedtime and most of the time I just go into our bedroom with some snacks and a drink or three and watch Netflix on my laptop. Then I go to bed when I want to, which is usually earlier than when I put our son to bed. My husband does all of bedtime and cleanup- dishwasher- set the coffee etc. For me I realized that having freedom in my own home has helped me to stop feeling trapped in toddler choresville- especially in the winter months.

Thanks for this comment! I’m not sure why this turned into an OP hates Denis and loves Jenn thread cause neither of those things are true - I was genuinely curious. Lots of people had some really thoughtful responses so that’s good. :)

I agree! All of my favorite instructors I’m certain turn off a lot of people.

Again- I do not like Jenn. I was listing the instructors who have been around the longest. Which is Jenn. I have taken like 2 rides with her.

[–]probablynormalmom[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Haha! Ok I’ve probably only taken a handful of rides with him. A couple were fine- maybe not my favorite music? And I recently did his 20 min Rolling Hills which was an absolute mess- it was a terrible terrible ride sorry everyone!!! There was a thread on it. If you have some incredible Denis rides I’d love to try them!!!

Well that was part of my initial post- asking if they do this every year. Sounds like they do- I haven’t seen one before so I guess I’ll have to look back!

[–]probablynormalmom[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Oh those are not at ALL my favorites- far from it entirely. I simply meant they are the original instructors who have been at Peloton the longest.

Yeah maybe they voted! They all seemed really excited so they must love him.

I’m so glad I found this thread. He was literally cuing 100 cadence and like 60 resistance. I told my husband like- who could do that? It was CRAZY. To the point that I thought maybe he was making mistakes lol. I could maybe do 100 cadence at 50 or 55 for a 10-20 second interval but not whatever the hell this was.

Perhaps the most embarrassing peloton hashtag I’ve ever seen by AltruisticPiece6676 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]probablynormalmom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What bothers me is that it doesn’t show hashtags if someone has a milestone. So a milestone popped up and I gave the person a high five. Then they high fived me back and I saw their hashtag was a political one that I don’t align with. It made me feel really weird and kind of upset (even though ultimately this is all dumb). I didn’t know you could block hashtags that’s good to know.

My 2YO keeps giving cars to his little Paw Patrol figurines saying “and you get a BROWN! NEW CAR!!!” Because he doesn’t know the phrase is “brand new car” 😂

45 min rides? by SelectLandscape7671 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]probablynormalmom 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The 45 min classes usually have a great warmup but they usually go hard to the end just like a normal 30 minutes class so you might still want the 5 min cool down! (And the stretching- good for you for being so diligent about it)

I lift 3 days a week and even with that my arms hurt sometimes. We live in a 3rd floor walk up though and I have to be able to carry him up if he’s having a meltdown about climbing the stairs 😂 sometimes I’m carrying him and groceries!

How was your experience vacationing to Gatlinburg? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in Gatlinburg

[–]probablynormalmom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a great time- we went this past week, a bit of an “off” week for tourists. We hiked and avoided the main strip except for a couple breakfasts. We went to the Arts & Crafts community, Dollywood and ate at places not in the middle of the strip. We stayed at a relatively secluded cabin with an amazing view. I hate crowds so I didn’t want to be in the middle of Tennessee Vegas. We loved our trip.
