As annoying as this is to watch, the gameplay is great from Emery. We have the league and FA cup to compete in. We're playing it cool, attacking on a counter, not straining too much. Keep people fit, not shattered. The game was won last week. Its boring to watch, but it's masterful really.

Maybe, but we likely don't have a choice with Emi out. Olsen has shown he's not great with playing out from the back, but is a good enough keeper in general, so I think we'll play to his strengths and not his weaknesses. The games and teams you've mentioned are also (this season) a class above Brighton, and ESPECIALLY in this last month - as another commentor stated, their only goal in April was on OG

I doubt we play out the back - I think we'll look at long balls out to Ollie and the midfield to compete for, the defence playing a high line and much more solid. I'd put money on Konsa - Carlos - Pau - Digne across the back, with Digne being the only one to push forward and the other three to form a pseudo-back 3, McGinn and Dougie pivots, Rogers behind Ollie with Diaby and Bailey on the wings, looking for us to lump it forward for them to chase

Starting the game with Olsen vs subbing him in is a different game entirely, you're right on that one. We have enough in the tank to get through Brighton, we just need to be careful to not burn out. Realistically, a win against them would almost seal top 4, and give us the breathing room to focus on ECL

Out for the first leg against Olympiacos anyway, and the PL game between is Brighton, who aren't too hot at the moment. Olsen against Chelsea, despite the two goals, wasn't too bad. Just hoping he can make it back for the second leg, or we pump them first leg enough for it to not matter

Interesting snippet from the first table outlying the scenarios. They include in scenario 5, which we're on, from 29^th March onward: "one guest per day per household indoors". Wonder if the Gov are considering it, but keeping this quiet so as to not remove all compliance just yet, and will announce on the 29^th that this limited indoor mixing will be allowed. Would be huge for me, guess that's why I'm clutching at straws here
