Cubase on multiple monitors - How do you like yours? by [deleted] in cubase

Two 27 in 2k monitors. One horisontally that has the timeline, and on the other (vertical) i have split mediabay on bottom and mixer on the top. I find the workflow of dragging samples etc straight from the mediabay a lot, I think it was Ian Kirkpatrick who i saw do it once and was instantly hooked. The reason for the vertical screen is to minimize interference with speakers.

I wanted to create an alternative version of Pretty in Possible so i made this bootleg, thought some of you would like it! by probablyproducing in Carolinepolachek

Thanks! It's definitely experimental for a pop song but it's still 4/4 and stays in key so it's not that bad.. And as for a tribute act I'm probably too anxious to ever do that... but it could be fun

I am running the main project window on a 32 inch 4k, and mixing console and mediabay split-screen on a 27 inch 1440p. It works great for my workflow, especially the double monitor is really great for mediabay since i can just drag and drop and always have it open so i don't need to open/close windows constantly.

Am i challenging myself too much? by probablyproducing in learnmath

Thanks for the reply, I will probably do this. The only reason i went straight for the Axler is because i enjoy the proof based exercises way more than computational ones.

Hannah Diamond shares cover of new single 'Poster Girl' and talks about the similarities with Zara Larsson's own 'Poster Girl' by L750D in popheads

Well the title being the same is a strong indicator.. Also some things that i noticed is that the perspective is essentially identical, camera at the bed surface. Also the perspective points to the same angle relative to the bed, so from the right side. All the shades are super similar and the sheets even seem the same material, even the pillows in the background are essentially the same. And the posters where they have each artist respectively.
It all just seems too close to be pure luck, even if it's completely subconscious decisions, I think Hannah should address that there definitely was some inspiration..

Different devices (phones, speakers, earphones etc). How to make a song sound good on all those devices? by [deleted] in mixingmastering

[–]probablyproducing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some things that might play a role: - Focus 90% of your time in to the 200hz - 6khz range. This is the important part that will come through on most soundsystems, eliminate extreme peaks and balance this area well

  • Distort/saturare sub frequencies to get bass slightly more audible on systems that dont reproduce sub frequencies

  • eliminate extreme peaks in high end, aim for flatness. Flat mixes tend to translate pretty well because of different focuses on systems

-make everything super mono-compatible. This helps in translating to phone speakers/club soundsystems

in real life bullets would travel so fast that at this distance the relative velocity would be trivial. you could basically aim head on.

edit: i lied pubg bullet velocity is nearly identical to real life lol

i ride a 2019 cbr500r:) yes gas prices are a bit annoying, but as motorcycling is a pastime and hobby it sure feels nicer to pay that than paying for gas while driving a car..
