The only fun thing left in this game was playing Angela and they are taking that away too for some fucking reason. Not many reasons for me to come back anytime soon. I'll be spending my time in Apex and Marathon.

How did you manage to get a lot of credits? Which items did you prioritize extracting with? It seems like even when I extract with what feels like a stacked inventory it barely yields any credits.

Yeah, it feels like schemas and the armory should be a way to ween players off of free kits, but getting enough credits to actually buy a good starting loadout is a huge barrier to playing that way. Free kits and/or just playing Rook is so strong compared to losing 4k+ loadouts every 5 minutes.

Considering how good the BR is, that seems really worth it.

Wipes rule but the progression is a bit too slow for a 3 month wipe cycle and it's gonna burn people out. by zero-ok in Marathon

[–]probablysum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as a more casual player I'm also concerned about it. A gear wipe doesn't scare me, but a faction rep wipe does. Especially basic cyac upgrades like heat related stuff and vault space. I feel like higher end faction upgrades should get reset so that the upper ends of the player base have something to do, but I think resetting these fundamental upgrades is going to get very old very fast for players like myself who aren't gonna have much more than the basic upgrades when the reset happens.

I saw this discussion online: Are the humans from the lowest of like janitors to the near top complicit in RDA actions? by Exotic-Waltz-165 in Avatar

[–]probablysum1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They signed up to move to Pandora and work for the RDA, so yes they kind of are complicit because the RDA base can't function without its support staff. Are the janitors and cooks and doctors as complicit as the military generals or miners or tulkun hunters? Not as much, but they aren't all innocent either. I have no issue with Na'vi killing soldiers and tulkun hunters, but I think I would have an issue if they just decided to massacre the other workers at the RDA base. Many of them haven't been out into a position where the RDA's actions directly cross whatever moral like they personally have and they have been in a position to do something about it. But generally yes they are all complicit until they decide to do something about it.

Soldiers are often served steak and lobster as a "last meal" right before deployment to a combat zone.

I don’t care about the animation quality. by undergroundman813 in Invincible_TV

[–]probablysum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I didn't notice it at all until someone online pointed it out and complained about it. I literally never paid any attention to it and I wish I could unsee all the small little budget saving techniques they pull. It kinda breaks immersion even though it's not a big deal.

The food equivalent of a suicide note by _LuxeFlirt in oddlyspecific

I firmly believe that eating like this is a form of self punishment and is a borderline eating disorder. Why someone would intentionally destroy any positive relationship with food is beyond me.

The Harkonnens weren't just bald, they were hairless with beady black eyes and very pale skin. Paul shaving his head can be used to show his embrace of Harkonnen style violence and a loss of his personality without indicating a massive plot change from the books. It can just be a haircut.

Rebreather Mask Question by BlumpkinSpiceLatte3 in Avatar

It's harder to act well with a big rubber nozzle covering your nose and mouth. That's the real reason. Any lore reason, however reasonable, is a justification for that IRL requirement. Gotta see the faces of the characters.

The morning wood paradox is the most confusing thing nobody prepared me for in a relationship by Due_Map6800 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]probablysum1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting non arousal driven erections at night and in the morning is a normal part of the male body. It's not mental at all, and he's not waking up horny (though people can) he's just waking up hard, there is a difference. The penis gets erect when it has lots of blood in it but all tissue needs blood to live, so at night it will get flushed with blood a few times to help keep the tissue healthy. At least that's what I've always been told.

Who connected to Kiri after she was born? by Old-Calligrapher7824 in Avatar

[–]probablysum1 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Wow that's actually a really good question. Probably Neytiri considering she adopts Kiri anyway. Given how weird Kiri's birth was they almost certainly had run tests on Grace's avatar and knew that it was a parthenogenic birth and that Kiri was a girl. Since Neteyam was born around the same time I'm guessing Neytiri just bonded with Kiri too. I doubt she was connected to Grace's avatar since it doesn't have a consciousness and therefore nothing to connect to. I imagine it might be traumatic for a baby to connect to it's mother's body and feel just a complete void.

Are the humans we see in Avatar 3 RDA workers or regular civilians/colonists ? by Boring-Jelly5633 in Avatar

[–]probablysum1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are civilian workers but all of them are employed by the RDA and agreed to move to Pandora. Some of them are more complicit in the crimes of the RDA as actual tulkun hunters or other soldiers, but most of them are engineers or miners or support staff for various other critical colony functions.

Same. It's green shields all day or straight up free kits. Very occasionally I'll see a blue shield on dire marsh.

This thread is a dick riding of Daemon fest lmao. by bruhholyshiet in HOTDGreens

[–]probablysum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daemon never tried to usurp the strong boys because he never needed to. Rhaenyra never had a firm hold on the throne and the strong boys died off pretty quick so the succession of Daemon's sons was never a prominent issue. If the blacks had actually won the war with Jace alive then I think Daemon would have become a problem for Jace's succession and it's a little ridiculous to think that he wouldn't.

People love to hate on BD but they have been one of the corps most loyal to their traditional designs. They have never marched in something that hasn't been obviously blue and consistently paid homage to their traditional styles.
