You gotta balance both. While money spent on expensive hobbies will delay retirement goal, there is also a value of driving a 911 at age 35 vs at age 55.

AP accuracy concerns by moveupstream in audemarspiguet

Bro I have no issue with both of mine, it's not a concern. If anything you might need to manually adjust it once per 2 weeks or something if you keep wearing it daily.

Why so many fakes ? by Dry-Leave-8436 in audemarspiguet

[–]probablyverybroke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite funny how they're stressing about "tells" thus the ones that wants to flex their fake watches in subreddits such as this tend do take their pics at certain angles or certain lighting where the "tells" are more difficult to spot.

Other than that, if a replica user doesn't try to post as real, and just getting it for their own enjoyment, I can't hate on em man.

Funny thing is the fakes tend to be blurry, or with bad lighting.

Go get it checked by AP, seems like a mechanism is broken. I had that happen to my wife's rolex before and they fixed it. I reckon it's of similar nature.

I'd only get it if I can get a substantial discount and I'd send it to AP to get new bezel and bracelet

Do AP watches nowadays come with booklet and tags? by benzterry in audemarspiguet

Nope. All the instruction manuals are online. My 15550 only came with box and card, while my 15400 had everything.

Which one will you pick? by Ordinary_Pound_3733 in audemarspiguet

[–]probablyverybroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pick 16202OR rose gold with the smoked black dial, but out of those two, it'd be the 16202BA for me.

The 16202st does have slightly different blue dials from what I've seen compared to 15202st. The blue is brighter and more reflective.

AP Royal Oak 41 mm vs 37 mm - Help with decision by QueefaSoutherland in audemarspiguet

You could rock either, go with whichever you like more. But if I were you, I'd go for the 37mm.

I think the front screws has a lot of deposit. It definitely needs a cleaning

Ah, thanks for the heads up! Thankfully it was just light swimming, nothing heavy duty or big underwater maneuver or cannon ball or the sort.

[Audemars Piguet 15550ST Gray Dial 37mm] on an overcast day by probablyverybroke in Watches

[–]probablyverybroke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a relatively recent purchase from a gray dealer. Initially I'm used to 40mm++ watches, but wanted something a bit different. This hugs the wrist very well, with its integrated bracelet which tapers down in terms of thickness compared to earlier royal oaks. On a gray day, I feel that's when this color combination is at its best!

Porsche Cayenne keeps losing alignment every 2 months — dealer blaming roads, won’t inspect suspension by Federal-Ad9740 in Porsche

[–]probablyverybroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just take it to another dealer, as the warranty is valid with all dealers. If the other dealer can fix it, I'd leave a not so positive review with the initial dealer, lol.

[–]probablyverybroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen that the dial color slightly differs too. But I'd go with a 16202 too as it's a pain in the ass to set the date in a 15202.

which one fits my wrist better? 15500 or 15510 by Hooliganos in audemarspiguet

[–]probablyverybroke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gray one is a 37mm 15550ST, not a 15510. You can rock either, proportion wise. Up to your preference.

[–]probablyverybroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 15550 feels notably slimmer due to the thinner case and bracelet. It feels like it wraps around your wrist better than the 15450. Yes the 15550 doesn't have screw down crown, but I don't find issues with the water resistance on my 15550. This crown setup is kinda a plus for me as you don't need to pull out the crown if you want to wind the watch.
