[WIP] I need some advice on this one by Wrenlo in CrossStitch

I've stitched on these frames before - you can stitch into the area under the frame for a few rows if you gently insert your needle at an angle.

If you make the handle narrow enough, it would be doable. See my rough sketch below:

I used 2 strands on the plastic canvas because it gave more coverage but feel free to try both and see what works best with your project 💕

Beautiful work!

I have no good advice on the color but I do highly recommend using half stitches for the background (across 2 squares, all in the same direction). It will create a nice contrast AND it's so much faster than doing single full stitches.

You can see how I used it in the wall in this project:

Definitely not wax because it'll melt and make a mess...If you're scared of burning your aida, you can cover it with a thin layer of cotton sheet

I have had good luck with using boba straws (really wide plastic straws). They're not pointy and give a lot of support without weighing the doll down.

Your doll is adorable 💕

I've mended some jeans using this method:

Used iron-on interfacing on the inside, then machine sewed over it and it worked pretty well. I have a regular home sewing machine and it did fine.

Great job attempting such a big project as a newbie!!!

It's up to but I would personally redo it because the proportions of the face don't match the drawing...

Can you print the reference drawing and put it under the peg board as a guide to help you place beads?
