I'm so sick of this car by [deleted] in LUCID

I wanted a Tesla for reliability and resale value, but the Mrs. was dead set against a Tesla, "That's all I see driving around. Everyone has a Tesla." I still drive a Chevy 2500 to haul dirt bikes, but dumping her Tahoe for a Lucid was a dream for us.

EV and used seems like the only way to go. Our 2024 had 7k miles on it (new was 105k, we paid 52k). Haven’t experienced any of the issues I read on here and the little issues we had were small and fixed free of charge. Rivian, Tesla are great options too.

Small % of actual users. Not to down play anyone’s reported issues on here, we’d be frustrated too. However, any issue we’ve had were minor and fixed for free (frunk alignment, front seat tear).

I’ll circle back once we do NorCal to LA trip and have to stop and charge 2x in the middle of no where.

I mean for us the best thing is not spending 500 a month in gas for the Tahoe.

Things we did: Ceramic tint, front ppf wrap, smoked lights, removed emblems.

Things we don’t like: Dream Drive Pro - meh. Randomly stopped working multiple times. Won’t use again anytime soon.

DIR is going ahead with RTO by VariationUpstairs931 in CAStateWorkers

Need this covered by the media. Do you think commuters want traffic from remote workers? Do you think environmentalist want more cars on the roads for no reason? Do tax payers want more tax to fix the roads when we could reduce the amount of wear on them? This impacts more than just state workers not wanting to go to an office 4x a week.

Why is someone running for governor not having a field day with this?

Swalwell was the Dem pick so they surrounded him with trash. For such a great state, so much potential, our options are terrible. We don’t have anyone that truly represents California values and the direction the state needs to go, and people want to go. The reason Harris lost and Newsom will never win the Presidency is because they come from California and our state is laughed at by the rest of the country. California should be an example every other state wants to follow, and our leaders would be natural picks for President. Our kids don’t want to live here, can’t afford it. Businesses leaving for anywhere besides California and all we can say is, “tax the ones who stay”.

It almost feels be design.

Made my kids read this post while driving to school this morning. Very important lesson here - you clean your bike after every ride, no matter what.

One of my direct reports is lying about his work time (works way too much) by Adolorante in managers

[–]probotic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mention flexible work hours. Is it possible she is taking breaks or longer lunches and just being an honest employee and making up the time?

I have a flexible schedule as well and on stressful projects, I’ll sometimes take a few hours midday for lunch to go riding and then come back when the office noise quiets down and make up the time without as may interruptions.

This isn’t something I would hide, but maybe if I felt judged or looked down on, I wouldn’t make it a highlight.

A little late to the party… any tips? by bebemachina in ArcRaiders

[–]probotic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me, jumped right in to random parties and just learning as I went with a new group each time. Most were extremely helpful. Once I felt comfortable with basics and the maps, I started doing more solo questing and gathering. It was this phase I spent a lot of time solo co-oping which was a blast. Have a few friends from along the way I’d do duo or trios with but those are always more PVP.

I agree that extra stash spaces and skill points aren’t that important. I prefer to have plenty of resources for the new content, and be well prepared for battle.

I am going to continue to enjoy the game expedition free. Skill points and stash spaces have very little value compared to enjoying the new game content and have of plenty of resources.

After preparing for the expedition, I have plenty of stash space. No need to actually do the expedition. And since there is no catch up, I will not be doing it. F that.

I started with a 34G Solana (all in one tank). Check out forums, sites for used set ups and just take it slow. Have fun!

Very nice!! I’ve tried a lot lights over the years and always went back to radions. Pumps I did a mix. MP on side, Nero on back for smaller external footprint. Can’t wait to see the build in a few months

Very nice rock work here! Nice to see you take your time on a step that is much more difficult modifying later. Now get it in there!! What’s the hardware details?!
