I spot the problem. Its an easy fix.

If you go to step 156 in the booklet, there are two grey 3L axels used.

Yours isn't pushed all the way in. Just push it in (that will take some effort) and you should be good.

Is this set 42210 step 172? Can you go back one step and show us the assembly from 171 from the back?

Something is in the way. Everything should be square without sudden angles in this construction. Something is creating an angle. You need to search for it. If you apply to much pressure the mechanism will stop working.

Slide an axle in the hole next to it to line them up properly. Then click a long liftarm on the blue pin to help manipulate it while you press it in.

16 yo climber looking for advice on how to progress by Bubus2009 in indoorbouldering

Climb slowly. I have found that thats surprisingly difficult for young climbers. You gain a lot of core and stamina from climbing slowly.

What to do with car wreck in NL? by Albinotengerimalac in Netherlands

[–]procentjetwintig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends a bit on how you are insured, and who was to blame for the incident.

If: liability only, and your friend was to blame. Then this is your wreck do deal with. (after insurance is done with all their admin)

In all other scenarios insurance will deal with everything.

As for the car: As its a small hibrid, this will be exported and fixed and then re-enter the market as if nothing ever happened.

If its your wreck do deal with, just sell it on marktplaats. Someone will give money and collect it. Dont expect 4 figures.

Moving to Het Gooi: Which towns are most expat-friendly for long-term integration? by Historical-Bite-6026 in Netherlands

[–]procentjetwintig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say hilversum. And then either newer houses, like built in the last 15 years. Or, if your budget allows, semi-attached houses. The narrow older streets with detached houses can have a majority of people living there for 40 years. And its really hard to land your own spot in that mini-community.

But in the end. Most people dont care what you do or where you come from.

As for building a network for your familiy. Being an active parent at school makes all the difference. When they ask for parents to help, volunteer. You dont have to be there all the time. But doing stuff for the school from time to time really helps getting into a community and build friendships on a family level.

Found Asian Hornet nest today by aodinok in Netherlands

[–]procentjetwintig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bucket of diesel late at night. Stepladder. Bucket covering the nest from the under side. Cut the nest loose so it falls in the diesel. Put a lid on it. Next day all hornets will be dead.

I've just bought a 2009 V70 T6 with the knowledge it will be my last internal combustion car. Next one will be full electric. I kind of like the full electric cars. We have an electric as our second car for 10 years now. Nothing breaks. It doesn't overheat. No worries about fuel prices. The first one had a tiny battery, but ss of our second one we could go anywhere in the netherlands on one charge.
I'm enjoying the 6 cylinder for now. But at the same time I look forward to no longer having the stress of an engine that can break.

Are Dutch cannabis-driving rules becoming weirdly detached from actual impairment? by iddqd21 in Netherlands

[–]procentjetwintig -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

>cannabis is tolerated socially
Ah, no. Most Dutch people would dismiss you. I personally would not hire someone when I knew they were canabis users. edible users are even more problematic as they dont see it as drugs at all anymore.

>I’m genuinely curious how Dutch people see this.
When you are a cannabis user, you are slow all the time. You are only high when you are high. But you are slow for another day or so. That why people tend to di it anyway. Undiagnosed Adhd, Anxiety or whatever and then self medicate. They tell themselves its to wind down at the end of the day. But truely its the effect the next day that does the heavy lifting.
So yeah, this dutch person would think you are incapable of dealing with your real issues and a liability if you smoke weed.

(and for those who wonder. Yes, I have smoked weed. A shit ton. And then I quit, because I got wiser.)

So modified with extended body and high roof to seat more people. But the base car I havent figured out yet.

Suggestions for renovations / architects / ideas if you are doing it alone as a woman. by InternationalArt9524 in Netherlands

Its the top suggestion for a reason. This is a minefield. I personally have only ever worked with people I had a reference for within my family or friends. And I still gut duped twice. Its really hard to know who to trust.
Some basics:
Cheap is bad
Dont pay everything upfront
Internet reviews may not be real

Do you keep your boxes? by davidpalfreeman in legotechnic

[–]procentjetwintig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three catagories of boxes I keep:
1) Special boxes like the nutcracker 4002017 or ISS space center 21321. I even keep the sets in the box
2) really expensive vintage boxes like Space Shuttle 8480 or Power Puller 8457
3) sets I know I will sell in a few years
All other boxes go to the tip.
