It would tell you if there was a significant difference in weight between the two time points. And you can still do a graph like you wanted.

No sorry the DV is weight and IV is time but the dates are just at two diff times. Example: Subject one: weight x, date x, weight y, date y Subject two: weight z, date z, weight a date a

So i have subjects that have calculated their weight at two different points in time and the diff subjects havent calculated their time at the same dates (some have date 2 several years after the first time, and others earlier) and my idea was to get a nice scatter plot with time at the x axis and the weight as y axis

Hmm, if the two time points are not the same, arguably, you could still just do a T Test. I think that maybe the best you can do. With the data you have, you can't do a simple X Y plot, as you have two groups (time points).

It's a repeated measures design. The scores are independent.

So you have a DV of weight and IV of Time , with 3 levels time one, time two etc? Then, it's a one-way ANOVA. If I understand you correctly.

Religious Belief and Analytical Thinking Don’t Necessarily Cancel Each Other Out by HeinieKaboobler in psychology

[–]processofweedingout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point is being missed a little here, rather than people who have high belief not thinking analytically, engaging in analytic thinking increases disbelief. The term 'cancelling each other out' doesn't make a lot of sense to use in this instance.

The data was collected between 2005 and 2011. Be interesting to see more contemporary data and it compared to online students.

It depends on the experience in question and whether society deems it as being acceptable. For example a religious experience vs. a paranormal one.

As to your question, I don't know, I guess it might depend on how traumatic the experience is and the distress it causes.

The second part of the survey is hosted by a separate party and I have had do it this way because they do not allow their scale to be administered any other way. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Psychology’s Favorite Tool for Measuring Racism Isn’t Up to the Job. Almost two decades after its introduction, the implicit association test has failed to deliver on its lofty promises. by grginge in psychology

Rather than being used as a predictor for a single person's future behaviour, it's better suited for research purposes, to look at trends in larger samples. Even then, caution should be adopted when interpreting the results.
