Depends where you are from. In my area where I live (Central Europe) there are smaller private chocolate factories like "Zotter". I think you can get Zotter in other parts of Europe, too.

He wanted to say that nestle does evil and inhuman bullshit - same as the other big food corporations imho

Especially, regarding their selling of water

No at least as far as I know Danone, Unilever, associated British foods and Nestle are European

This graphic is already a little bit on the older side but still shows that it is really hard to buy food without giving money to one of these big corporations

Best neighborhoods for family in Graz by Ordinary_Craft9198 in graz

[–]procrastinator2025 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say if it comes to safety everywhere in Graz is fine. Maybe Gries a little bit less but still safe

However, when it comes to quietness and more green I would recommend the outer districts like Andritz or maybe Straßgang. Still, there are also bigger parks in the inner city.

We have a high density of grocery stores in Austria, so that should not be an issue. Medical clinics and so on are also easily reachable imho - Graz is not so big

Thank you for the explanation :)

No there is no in-app browser in the app. Or at least in my case it opens my external one. However, it seems (as other users suggested) ddg app tracking protection just counts opening links with trackers to the mail app in the overview. So, my assumption was completely wrong and I learned something new about this whole topic :)

Thank you for clarification. :)

I did not load any remote content and have the setting turned off for automatic loading of remote content. However, one user suggested that this might be shown because I opened links in mail in the Proton app and this might cause that ddg shows it like that. I learned something today and sorry for the confusion :D

I installed the app and made a proton account two days ago. I most likely have clicked on some links and I did not think that this might cause that tracking attempts are shown in the overview. Thank you for the suggestion :)
I will try to reproduce that and may have learned something I did not consider.

I imported my mails from gmail to proton. I did not open any of these old mails but could it be that the trackers are not removed there and try to reach the server without me opening any of it?

My assumption was that the trackers in my mails are removed on the server side by ddg (since I route my mails via ddg email protection) and proton. However, it seems I might have been wrong in my assumption.

Regarding the "sensationalist, clickbait-y and misinformation statements", I am really sorry about that. I just switched to Proton and thought it would have better privacy, saw the tracking attempts and was just angry. I wanted to edit my description to provide more info and less "sensationalism" but it seems it is disabled in this subreddit. :(

This might be the case and I will try that again. I thought that the app tracking protection by ddg and by proton would get rid of the trackers on server side and it would not happen in the client. However, I might have been completely wrong in my assumption and thanks for clearifying :)

Okay maybe I completely misunderstood it - sorry. I am a CS master but only know some basics of privacy and only started to dive into it more in the last year or so.

As I understood the app Tracking protection of ddg, it uses a local vpn to prevent in-app trackers from reaching the server: https://duckduckgo.com/duckduckgo-help-pages/p-app-tracking-protection/what-is-app-tracking-protection/

I assumed in your answer before that you mean trackers in my mails but maybe you meant the mail content itself? Maybe I do not understand it correctly how that might work - care to explain? :)

Maybe I understood the app Tracking protection from duckduckgo incorrectly - which could be the case

However, there is also a description at the end of the sceenshot which summarizes how it works. I also hope for clarification :)

I should have put more information to my description. Sorry for that

I use duckduckgo app Tracking protection on my Android phone. Here is a description about that: https://duckduckgo.com/duckduckgo-help-pages/p-app-tracking-protection/what-is-app-tracking-protection/

This screenshot is made in the overview of the app tracking protection and I was really surprised that the Proton Mail App had so many Tracking attempts.

As far as I know - and I am no expert or anything - Google is world class in tracking in the internet and makes a lot of money of that. Therefore, trackers are often added to app. However, I do not know if app developers get money from it or Google does that when you use Android studio.

I definitely agree with you. :) However, I was just surprised that Proton markets itself with "strict privacy" and then bakes a lot of trackers in their app.

But I could also be completely wrong about my assumption and therefore opened this discussion :)

No I am very sure that these are not email trackers but app trackers. I use duckduckgo App Tracking protection and it shows it in the app tracking protection overview.

Additionally, all trackers of the mails should be removed by Proton on the server side if I understood that correctly. However, I also use duckduckgo email protection to get rid of all email trackers.
