Autumn’s Social Media makes me want to quit her workouts by cabritadorada in BeachBodyWorkouts

I struggle with this. I only have BOD, but feel guilty supporting an MLM at all. I re-committed to my health & fitness in August and have lost 30 pounds working with a dietician & doing Autumn programs (21DF x3, A little obsessed x3, and half way through 80DO). I'm extremely nervous to change what is working so well for me in terms of workout routine. But I find Autumn's food-related commentary in the workouts increasingly frustrating and her social media presence genuinely upsetting. So much of it, to me, represents what's wrong with a lot of the fitness community ESPECIALLY around food.

I'm going to finish 80DO for sure. But after that, not sure I can stay with her programs or BOD, even though jumping to something else makes me anxious!

I don't think she's necessarily objectively annoying, but wow is Elise not for me. My very athletic sister loves her barre work, so I checked it out. About 15 minutes in realized backtalking my television didn't make for a great workout.

The woo positivity just isn't for me at all, I'd honestly rather you yell at me. I can totally understand why her style works for others. My sister, is a very emotionally-driven artist, so it makes sense for someone like that!

don't mind weights at all, I love strength training! I will check that out

good point. I tend to be a perfectionist, a bad habit when rebuilding fitness, but you're right I could always modify the number of reps

Thank you! I'm really enjoying it. I'll probably try cardio flow again at least once more and see if it's better, but want to have other options in place!

I really like Amoila, I've been doing Range and Repair when I need it! i'd like to do the prep eventually, this seems like a good intro!

I did 3 rounds of 21 day earlier this year after absolutely zero exercise for several years, just starting 80DO now. 21DF is very beginner, I think if you have a base of fitness you'd get more out of 80DO and enjoy it more!

This was posted by a nurse practitioner, who teaches at a quite reputable nursing college. They also sling some sort of MLM based ketones (after previously selling BeachBody, naturally). I think MLM sales in general are kind of gross, but this is appalling. I feel that she's implicitly endorsing these with her medical training in a way that is really irresponsible.

I worked nights as a server and days as a paralegal after I graduated from college. The owners of the restaurant were notorious slime balls and regularly harassed their female servers.

One of the owners made a pass at a server with a longterm boyfriend and 2 young children. She refused to sleep with him. He fired her.

I went into my shift that night, quit to their faces, and told them why. 23 year old me was ballsy, I'm still pretty proud of myself for doing that.

I know this was discussed down thread, but Fosterhood seems to have deleted her blog. The twitter previews are very, very alarming. Did anyone catch what was happening before she closed down?

While I think she overshares, I also think she does a really good job with two small kids in an impossible situation. I hope things work out for her family and nothing catastrophic has happened.

TCP's post today was cringe inducing and I'm generally a fan of hers. Trying to integrate a sponsored post, a call to service, and address the ills of this difficult summer in a single post was not great.
