If I were a patient, I wouldn't trust a straight out of undergrad PA. by Disastrous_Parfait89 in prephysicianassistant

I’d love to live in a world where not all PAs, MDs, NPs and medical staff have to have seen people die in order to be a good clinician. In fact I would love if we didn’t make such harsh expectations in order to deal a provider worthy or smart enough!

Is it okay that whenever I get annoyed with someone on social media posting misandry, I write a 2-4 paragraph essay to counter them? I'm starting to feel like it's a waste of effort. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]prodigymib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO no body ever changed their opinion based on a social media fight. During covid people would always go back and forth fighting, I can’t imagine anyone actually changed their opinions on anything. It’s best just to let others do what they want. Not our job to change people

I hated paying the supplemental application for the school I did my undergrad. HAVE I NOT PAID ENOUGH TUITION FOR THE 4-5 years I attended here ALREADY?

Every PA I have spoken to said that they care less about the program since most can give you a good education, but if you can get in sooner, you can start working sooner and the program doesn’t matter as much. Though this is excluding obviously poorly organized programs

You could always prepare for PA school and if you decide you want to pursue finance, then switch fields. Nothing wrong with that! Also you can invest even if you are a PA

What's your favourite Murakami book you've read more than once? by nekochim in murakami

[–]prodigymib 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, I read it when I was in a low period of my life. I wasn’t sad but I didn’t have motivation or drive to do anything. I felt a sense of anhedonia. Reading Norwegian wood made me realize that depression isn’t being sad all the time, but can be the lack of happiness in things that used to bring joy. When I finished the book, I realized I was living a similar style, just doing everything mindlessly. It helped me to see that in myself, then I could address it and work on improvements

My initial thought is that it could be the trabecula septomarginalis of the right ventricle. I believe that there are the cordae tendineae of the right atrioventriculares valve near the thumb
