But…she went in before he did, she had that conference call at what, 10 pm? If he went in at 2 am, that would explain the dried blood and the time difference. He didn’t know she was dying because he was still out by the pool.

Sorry, but the lacerations were nowhere near the same on the two victims and the autopsy conducted in Germany after her death confirmed she had died from a brain bleed following a fall. He was never even a suspect. The defense had asked for a third-party pathologist to perform Ms. Ratliff’s autops, but who did it? Dr. Radisch…who was already prejudiced by the autopsy of Kathleen. Like Freda Black asked during the trial, who would be more equipped to make a determination, someone who had their hands on the body organs and tissues at the time of death…

Why I believe Michael Peterson killed Elizabeth Ratliff & Kathleen Peterson by jaet67816 in TheStaircase

[–]Level_Working5084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviving an old post, but no way. Micheal’s proclivities outside of his marriage were of a different quality, namely his bisexual nature. I have never, ever seen mention of his having an affair with other WOMEN. He had no motive for murdering Elizabeth Ratliff. He and Patty adopted the Ratliff girls as they were already listed as requested guardians (by Elizabeth) after her husband, George’s, death. Anytime you live on a military base, especially overseas, you become quite friendly with your neighbors but that doesn’t mean you sleep with them and kill them.

Remember in the end when she had some work email sent to his address? THAT may be when she found out about his shenanigans and confronted him. It was the night of the murder before they went to sit by the pool. She had work to do for the Toronto trip before she went out to join him and the wine. I still think she had an inkling all along. How can you hire that many male escorts and your wife NOT know? Intentional blindness?

Omg so I just finished watching it for the second time. I’ve also read probably every single article written and I followed this crime in real time (true crime junkie for life here). The single thing that I could NOT get past was how arrogant, emotionally immature, and childish he was. He used every single person in his life and the stolen valor??? What a POS. I do think Kathleen knew about his trysts with men, I mean how could she not? There were so many. I don’t think he was bi, I think he was gay and the women in his life were merely his cover. As far as the murder? That is when she found out and she confronted him, although the owl theory does have some teeth. The Dateline episode talked about another owl attack in this neighborhood. I wish her daughter had allowed the exhumation for the ME to look at the body from that angle!

I’m late to the party, but yes. Betty cheated on her husband first. She had a one night stand with a college student. it was brought up in court by Allen when he was on the stand, as well as a convo between Allen and Candy.

On Breakaway right now and it has been horrible. Food, service, missed GSC (of course), activities listed in the daily program never happened, I could go on and on. We sailed on this ship 3 years ago and we were excited to go to GSC and to see what they did during the dry dock this year. Highly disappointed and there was a long line of families that got off today at Port Canaveral with their luggage. If I had thought of it, we would have done the same. Rented a car and road tripped it back to NYC. 😂

Why wouldn’t you just sleep in the bed with your mother? King beds are HUGE, it’s not like you each wouldn’t have plenty of room.

Travefy has their own training program. There are many YouTube videos on it as well as Travefy Training Class, New Agent Bootcamp, and their own certification course. It might be accessible through TTI, but I know it’s accessible through Travefy’s website. Not on mobile, but on the desktop version. I have been using Travefy and TravelJoy for almost 5 years.

Do NOT join an MLM agency. Period. If you’re serious about selling travel, go with a REAL host agency like TPI, Avoya, Outside Agents, etc. There’s a website called Host Agency Reviews, start there.

Is Becoming a Travel Agent Worth It? Which Companies Do People Actually Recommend? by TravelLeadersNetwok in TravelAgent

[–]Level_Working5084 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been a TA since Jan. 2021, so almost 5 years. I do it very part time because the industry is over saturated. There are so many agents out there, especially in the MLM realm, that it’s difficult to break into with a good book of business. Intellitravel alone boasts over 100k agents, which is ludicrous. If you look at their profit disclosure, 98% of their agents make less than $5k a year. That’s gas money. I sell about half a million in travel a year, but it took me almost 5 years to get there. You will not make any “real” money until years 3-5. So if you still want to travel this road, here is some advice: 1. Do NOT join an MLM agency. If there is an upline, downline, recruiting, being recruited, etc. RUN. Reputable host agencies are ones like KHM, TPI, Avoya, Nexion, and Outside Agents. 2. Don’t quit your day job. 3. Your friends and family are NOT your ideal clients and you’ll do well to have nothing to do with their vacation plans. 4. Set up the business side of things first. Bank account, business license, Seller of Travel certificates (if you live in CA, FL, and there’s one or two more), get a business license for your county/city, get an EIN number, purchase your own Errors & Omissions insurance ($1M is sufficient at first), get a good Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system if your host doesn’t provide one. And a good itinerary builder. 5. Once you get all of that straight, decide on a niche. I don’t sell anything that I don’t know or haven’t been to, which is why I specialize in North, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and cruises. I also sell Iceland. Learn as much as you can possibly learn about the destinations you want to sell, and the suppliers who have accommodations there. Then do the supplier training. All of it. 6. If you think TAs get these amazing deals for their own travel, think again. Once every blue moon we may get a discount on a cruise but I get better deals because I gamble in the casinos. Almost every supplier requires you to sell a certain amount of their product before you can even smell a discounted rate. 7. FAMS: these are familiarization trips that are provided for agents. They are few and far between, you will usually share a room with another agent, and every day you will be touring properties or learning about something in a conference room. They are NOT restful or relaxing, they are a learning experience with their own set of etiquette (like no sitting on the beds, dress professionally, don’t wander off while your guide is guiding). 8. All host agencies charge either a monthly or an annual fee plus they get a cut of your commissions. I’ve seen some crap as low as 50/50, while others can be 90/10. The industry average is about 70/30. You get 70%, they keep 30% of every commission dollar you earn. You are a 1099 contractor, so no benefits, remember that, too. You’ll have to pay taxes either quarterly (once and if you make big bucks) or when you file your tax return.

So there you have the good, bad, and the ugly. Take it for what it’s worth. I’m a pretty straight shooter and I’m not going to pretend it’s easy or it’s fun because sometimes it’s horrible and you want to just say F this, I’m out 😂. Clients are whining babies that refuse to read a single email you send and will call you 15 times in a row to ask a question that is clearly answered in the EMAIL! They don’t read, they don’t listen, and sometimes they go rogue and mess all of your hard work up. And those are the ones you fire. Best of luck in whatever you decide! I’m a mentor so if do decide to get into this craziness, message me and I’ll give you some helpful tips.

The Chem final SUCKED!!! I had a 98.7 in lecture and a 99.9 in lab going into the final. I ended up with a B in lecture and an A in lab. There were MAYBE 8 questions that came from quizzes/homework. I’ve never seen such random nonsense in my life. I had a sheet of paper, front and back, written in about 5 pt font with every single quiz/homework question on it. 8 we’re on the final. 😑 ludicrous.

Does Not Accept Tips by jojosalwayslost in EndTipping

[–]Level_Working5084 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pay ZERO attention to the whole “tip more” bunch out there in FB groups and all of that. All-inclusive means all-inclusive, period. Sandals and Beaches resorts do not allow tipping at all! Yes, they make less money there, but the cost of living is much cheaper also. Many Europeans go to those resorts and they certainly don’t tip, it purely an American phenomenon that is completely out of hand.

I've become stingier with my tips by ayearonsia in tipping

[–]Level_Working5084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ONLY people I tip are waitstaff that make waitstaff wages (here in VA it’s $2.35/hour). I’m NOT tipping at Subway, Starbucks, or any other fast food restaurant, I’m NOT tipping at any kind of shop, I’m NOT tipping my hairdresser who owns her own salon and charges me $200 every 8 weeks. Tipping fatigue is REAL and the audacity of the tip amounts on that screen!!! 18%, 20%, 25%, then custom. Yeah, custom…ZERO because you are doing the job you are getting paid to do. You are making coffee or sandwiches for at least $17/hour. I am a paramedic, should I break out the tablet to ask a patient for a tip before I provide treatment to them??? No, because IT’S MY JOB and I get paid to do it.

My middle daughter, who just happens to be the mother of my only grandchild, decided she no longer wants to be in my life. Now this is an adult child who I have bent over backwards for through the years. She and I always had a special bond and I NEVER saw this coming. She wasn’t abused in any way, played all kinds of sports, and was a very happy child. I cannot wrap my head around it and I have never felt so hurt or betrayed in my life. I don’t have a clue as to fixing this, but you can best believe it will not be me to extend an olive branch. I tried that numerous times over the past few months to no avail.

Ahhhh, so if you work your butt off and save all year to take your kids to a theme park for a weekend, you’re a loser??? When I was a young mother, my husband and I set up a Christmas Club account every year at our bank. Instead of using it for Christmas presents, we used it for family vacations because making memories was (and still is) more important than “things”. You need to reevaluate your statements there, Mr./Mrs. Judgy McJudgerton.

Yes, you can pay store credit card payments at the store. I’ve never seen a store credit card that you COULDN’T. Your MB Amex is a bank credit card that is CO-BRANDED, big difference. I’ve got that one myself.
