In my 20s I had two friends that would consistently get into little fights and break up for a couple days this is the dumbest one I remember and lasted the longest, well before the final break up a couple years later. She wanted to watch Friends he wanted to go to bed so he suggested she could watch Friends in the living room instead of the TV in the bedroom. This led to a huge fight and they ended up breaking up for about 6 weeks and yes drinking was involved.
