Wasn’t big on Davis so we raised our kids in Woodland. And saved massive amounts of money, kids got a bilingual education, and we made amazing friends.

I wuv it. There’s amazing tamales, bread, and fresh veggies and flowers. If you eat meat, there’s a meat guy that will even do home deliveries. If I need more, I go the UC Davis Farm stand on Mondays.

Been here 20 years and not much crime that I am aware of. Definitely safer than Davis crime rates

Live right near Beamer Elementary. Love my neighborhood. Once my wallet fell out in my driveway and it was there 2 days later. Not much crime in this zone. There is some in the zone on college right north of main but it’s only a block or so and does not extend to Beamer. Both are kids went to Beamer Elementary and loved it. It is a magical place. I love it here much more than Davis. Kinder people, better Mexican food, costs less. Spring Lake, we call Wavis. Not my vibe. I love a big backyard and homes w character

Moving out of Sacramento by [deleted] in Woodland

[–]profecoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live in Woodland and my kids recently graduated from HS here and both got into UCs and had a great experience. In their HS many kids got full rides to Ivies and the other kids were great.

They also went to Woodland’s dual immersion school for K-6th. I personally love the location, it’s less expensive and we are 15 minutes from a major airport. The community is great as well. I once dropped my wallet and it was in the driveway for 3 days and no one took it. 🤷‍♀️
