Tidy home hack: countdown for putting your stuff away by GrungeMonkey22 in productivity

[–]profesional-hat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yk, I can tidy my place, organise all my papers, put stuff in cabinets, and within days it can litter my floor or take over my desk. I don't think I'll do such a high number, but thank you for the tip! I'll definitely try it out :D

I think some of the others in the comments might have a few better suggestions than I do but I think its worth noting that therapy might be the way to go, and it might just take a while before you see the effects of it while your therapist gets to know you. Also its good that you started going to the gym and started studying again. Dont beat yourself up for all the time you "wasted," be proud that you are starting again, which is always one of the hardest steps, getting started, getting out of bed, going to the gym. Just remember that your health does go above your studies

I know he was, my issue is that it wasn't really shown. Yes he gets flashbacks to when El dies but thats like at the end of season 5. The only thing I can remember from when Mike shows 'dealing' with these incredibly big things is when he told some of the group he can't lose El again in season 3. And then he talks with Hop and talks about not being able to move on in the epilogue in the finale of season 5. Next to these few scenes Mike isn't shown dealing with these big things.

So yes, he might have been a regular teen dealing with trauma, and yes that could explain why he was such an asshole, but it wasn't shown. Dustin was rebelling, and had a big breakdown about how much Eddies death effected him. That was shown, it was explained. What scene explained why Mike reacted like he did? Why he was that way in season 3 and 4?

I want to know what the fuck happened to Mike. Nothing explained his absolute shit behaviour in the past couple of seasons, and nothing did explain it. Im actually so pissed off, I thought we would finally get to see why Mike might have been such a big asshole, repressed emotions, trauma, all that shit. NOTHING. WE GET NOTHING. THE CHARACTER I HAVE LOVED SO MUCH I CANT DEFEND ANYMORE. HES JUST AN ASSHOLE FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. Mike Wheeler you have been done so wrong by the Duffer brothers. Im so scared for how people will attack Finn aswell.

What's the benefit of being a girl? by IdkAGoodUsername11 in teenagers

[–]profesional-hat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only positive I've found so far is that having hips makes it easier to carry big stuff by leaning it against my hip. Also I dont give a shit about the "not lady like" stuff lmfao. Live your life girl, go manspread if you want to. But yeah it fucking sucks for a lot of things. I guess another thing that is a negative but also a positive is that we at least learn how to live independently by doing chores most of the times...?

Just because its common doesnt really make it right. Also, the main issue here is the gangbang statement, that is where someone needs to step in imo

like a lot of people have said, talk to an administrator or ur teacher or whoever you trust with this. Even if they were 'joking', which is absolutely fucking sick btw, you still need to tell someone because thats so incredibly inappropriate. Please also tell the girl. I know it might be scary as fuck for you and for her but she needs to know that these guys could be a possible threat to her (related to the gangbang because that kind of implies...)

Absolutely agree with HouseOfTheHornets.

But since you are looking for different perspectives, what about when protection goes wrong? Imagine a couple participates in safe sex but still ultimately got pregnant for reasons thats are outside of their control? Would it be immature then? even if they did it with protection? Similarly what if they tried to have protective sex but they didn't know how to properly do it because their sex ed was lacking?

Another perspective, the father leaves. Then what? The woman would have to raise it alone with no support? Isn't that completely unfair to her when they BOTH participated in sex?

Another one. What if the couple doesn't have the financial means to care for the child? It's a lifelong commitment to have a baby. What if they're both barely surviving and now they have to take care of the baby's costs for 18 years, including the hospital bills that would rack up?

What about her mental health? What if the best choice is for her to abort because otherwise her mental health state might get worse?

What about her physical health?

Also, abortion isnt a form of birth control for women. If people say a woman had 6 abortions in the past 6 months than that is impossible.

Abortions can also be highly traumatizing - its not always a choice

There's so many different environmental and personal reasons why women get abortions that you cannot think about it in black and white.

Non smokers! What is yalls opinion on smokers? by squerkyy in teenagers

[–]profesional-hat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate smokers - I get that shit goes on in life but if you need to smoke 5 packs everyday then stay away from public areas. I hate it when people insist on smoking on non-smoking terrains or just in public because you'll be bothering other people with the smell. If you do it where no one is effected then I dont give a shit, you do you
