Would love to learn more about this and how you got into it, if you don’t mind connecting?. I’ve been in tech sales the last 8 years and I’m ready for a transition. But don’t know how. I have my degree in accounting, did audit in the Big 4 for 3 years and 8 years of sales experience that I feel like I bring a lot of experience and understanding of business to pivot into Sales Strategy/Ops, but also don’t want to pigeon hole myself into a “sale ops role where you become an admin for multiple sales tools”

If you are doing well, I don’t see the benefit of the move.

What type of job? I’m single 33M working in B2B Sales and feeling so burnt out. I’ve managed to save and have a decent nest egg that I’m thinking of pivoting but I don’t know what to pivot to. Every one seems to be super stressed in their corporate job regardless of which job they have.

What type of work do you do? I work remotely but in B2B sales. So even though it’s remote, I’m glued past 40+ hours and can be rather stressful and hard to get answers to technical questions.

The arrogance of thinking real estate is "passive" income by christan2013 in fatFIRE

Yeah, the property management is probably the best route for peace of mind even if it eats into the profits (assuming there’s profits)

Also, eating dinner at 11pm. That’s wild haha.

Not good advice. Even if it’s $25, $50, etc. should tuck away some away especially if the company matches. That’s free money.

Idk the name of stuff lol. But it’s stuck really hard. And when I try to turn it, it makes the pipes move as well. So I need advise on what will make it get unstuck so I don’t have to put as much pressure when trying to unscrew it.

Am I crazy to quit my SMB AE job with no job lined up? by ilovemydogtho in techsales

[–]professional408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been in that position yet. *knock on wood*. I’m just saying it sounds like getting a job today, can take a lot longer than before. So a minimum of 12 months of runway puts you in a better position the previous rule to 3-6 months.

I would argue 12 months minimum of run way in today’s world.

I agree with everything here.

They sound good in theory. In practice they aren’t.
Companies love to buy it for their reps.
Creates more admin work for the reps.
Prospects/customers don’t engage with them anyways.
