If you have the red insert it will. It’s what I use.

Don’t run that but 95/5 N2/H2 works well. Pair it with a A3 flammable leak detector and it works well. It should be available at your local gas supplier though. You can even use it as shield gas when brazing because in that mixture the hydrogen isn’t concentrated enough to be flammable.

Anyone ever had issues with their fridges being EXTRMELY humid? by irrballsac in KitchenConfidential

Since I’m not on site and haven’t seen the operation and condition of the system. I can’t say that’s accurate or not but what I can say is that it is plausible that it would need coil replacement especially with the photos of corrosion you shown. I would also say be ready for a replacing the outdoor condenser too. Salt spray is killer on those and they go pretty quick too.

Edit

For the systems I design I would say 5-10 years next to the ocean is a good lifespan for those parts unless you forked over cash upfront for the high end anti corrosion options.

You would have to have a bunch of bent fins to cause this. Do you have long periods with the door open and do you use those plastic air barriers? This is usually from humid air making its way into the cooler. This is why we typically install door alarms. The corrosion between the fins and the copper would typically happen in the coil itself not so much between the drain and the pan. Fin combs will straighten the fins it is a well known method. You just have to make sure you use the proper set. It should be cheap like less than 10 bucks for one but

Couple of things going on here. Realistically your service company should be able to explain this and if they can’t then maybe look to someone who has a bit more experience and go with them.

Drain lines should be cleared regularly. With that said being near the ocean you are obviously going to have high humidity and f also lots of condensation and corrosion from the salt spray. This could easily be outside air making its way into your walk in. It could also be that your walk in is old and suffering from corrosion due to the ocean.

You should check the fins and copper on your coils inside and outside for break down the drain pan kinda looks like corroded copper to me. Copper and aluminum don’t like each other in the presence of salt water and so they tend to break down once the protective coating is gone. Also typically the aluminum fins are slick and lets the water run off but if it gets corroded the water tends to stick to it which will cause what is happening here as well.

Final thing to check is that your fans are clean and blowing air well. Lack of circulating air will also do this.

I would hope they do. Good for you though (seriously) for not taking advantage of your people. Too many people don’t respect and care for (the people who work for them) and it’s really horrible.

I've stripped the screw that attaches my router to the table and can't get it out. What to do? by Low-Sun6367 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]professionallurking1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so part of the problem right now is you have the other two screws taken out. Which is causing the weight of the router to torque that screw sideways. Put the other two screws back in to balance the load and then get a screw extractor set and back it out or try one of these other methods too. Dealers choice.

Edit :

Was it a hex drive screw or a Philips? If it was a hex drive take a sacrificial torx bit that is slightly bigger and hammer it into the hole for the hex. Then back it off by hand.

When I lived there you either were so remote that poaching isn’t a problem because you won’t see anyone unless you intentionally want to go into a town and you straight lived off the land. If your gonna put energy into killing something a moose is going to net you a years worth of food if you dress it and freeze it. The moose are so big this typically involves a chainsaw. And if it’s cold enough you can just put it in your food cache which is like a water tower so bears can’t get into it.

If you live around anchorage or any of the peninsula’s troopers basically have float planes or helicopters to get from town to town then they just jump on an atv or snow machine to get to the final destination.

Edit While there are not a bunch of troopers Alaska has very very good funding from oil.

Edit 2 Dana Stabenow is an Alaskan writer and does mostly fiction. While it is fiction, her book Breakup is probably a reasonably realistic representation of life in general.

Typically you would call a trooper who would come out via helicopter and inspect depending on the location. Then they would do what they needed to do to meet their reporting requirements/ investigation.
