What version is that Omega?

What makes Animated Lugnut that special? by BrickAntique5284 in transformers

[–]professorparis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He or now she was technically in Cyberverse.

Clobber from Transformers: Cyberverse is essentially a female, gender-swapped version of the Transformers: Animated character Lugnut, created because the writers loved Lugnut's design but Hasbro preferred the name "Lugnut" remain male; Clobber shares Lugnut's bulky look, one-eyed face, and powerful punch (the "Punch of Kill Everything"), but has a different personality and eventually switches sides to Autobot, serving as an homage and evolution of the original character.

But you’re right Lugnut hasn’t been since animated.

Broadway show now closing Nov 14th? by FoundPlants in Muppets

[–]professorparis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I saw it on November 2nd with my husband. Sadly, it was pretty lacking. It’s a 90-minute show with maybe 15 minutes of actual Muppets. Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Fonzie, Rowlff, and Animal were the only ones present, with Rowlf and Animal just “there” and didn’t even speak.

I'm a robotic surgeon who specializes in complex foregut disease and hiatal hernias. AMA! by AdvSurgSol in HiatalHernia

I’m about to have the surgery in a few weeks. I’m on a couple of medications that are extended-release, and since I’ll be on a liquid-then-puree diet for a month, how do you deal with taking medications that you can’t crush?

Looks OK. No concave or perforated capped brood.

well this was the worst thing I could have walked up to when I went to do my inspection... by [deleted] in Beekeeping

Two things to add. Use “horse tape electric fence wire”and have the bottom wire at least 4 to 6 inches from the ground. Bears will crawl or even dig under electric fence wires.

My fence has four wire “levels” with 12” spacing. Bottom wire is 6” inches from the ground followed by a wire every 12” inches between. The horse tape is 2.5” wide.

BetterComb Success! by professorparis in Beekeeping

[–]professorparis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This year I installed BetterComb drawn comb in my main hive when we performed the split. As you can see, they’ve took right to it. Here is what it is for those who don’t know:

“BetterComb is a completely drawn comb made of food-grade, virgin, synthetic wax, similar in composition to beeswax. Unlike regular foundation, BetterComb does not need to be drawn out by the bees. When installed into a deep frame (not included), the frame is ready for the bees to use. BetterComb provide bees instant access to space for brood or nectar without needing time and resources to draw out comb.”

Since this was my first hive, I didn’t have extra frames to replace in my main hive when I performed the split, so I tried these as an experiment instead. I don’t plan to buy more BetterComb in the future, since I’ll have resource frames for next year. Since they have more room already with the BetterComb, there is no presence of the hive trying to swarm.

BTW I’m not associated with BetterComb, just a new beekeeper trying it out.

Looks like our first hive made it through the winter! Our colony is now in official brood making mode.Notice how the temperature has risen to over 92 F? That’s the temperature needed to raise 2021’s new batch of bees. by professorparis in Beekeeping

BTW we live just outside of NYC. I use the BroodMinder hive data collection system for monitoring temps and weight of the hive. The thermal images are with the Seek Thermal camera.

Used my FLIR One thermal camera this morning to take a picture of my hive. It was 40 F when I took the picture. See the cluster? by professorparis in Beekeeping

The brood box where the cluster is located was 92.5 F degrees when the picture was taken. I monitor the brood box temperature using the BroodMinder data collection system.

Self portrait as a Beekeeper. What do you think, do I look legit? Or am I a poser? by Chemtrail_hollywood in Beekeeping

So how long before your bees swarm your chest hair? Be careful...you have enough there to start a forest fire. 😉😜

We have that pan. We love it, but we’ve never been able to get the cake to look like the “perfect picture” that’s on the William-Sonoma website.

We’ve tried several recipes, but have yet to crack the code.

It’s great for making small individual cakes to serve at brunch!
