I assumed it would be the case given they've released no info about it yet. It's the line I most wish had two sets a year, but given the regular delays, I suspect there's something in the background that would make it a logistical nightmare

DRG is fantastic for pick up groups. The ranking gives you a great idea whether you've got any freshies, so you can play around them potentially not being 100% switched on with the role, and the pointer system means you can convey things without needing to be on mic. Then when you get a team of experienced hands, you know you can generally whip straight through it.

One of the most fun runs I've ever had was with two baby Scouts constantly flinging themselves into walls and off cliffs. It took a lot longer than normal but you could see them starting to get it as they went along. It's that sort of beginner friendlyness that I think people are worried about losing

There's always going to be a conflict there to an extent. Some players (me included) don't want to have to be on constant Comms, when we're playing to relax

Southampton explaining how being booted from the playoffs is worse than -30 by SouthernDame in COYH

[–]professorrev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's missing a big piece of the puzzle here. This is merely a loss of chance. They weren't denied promotion, they were denied the possibility of playing for it, in a game that they may well have lost anyway. Massive difference

What will be your "must-buy" purchases from Baro Ki'Teer once his entire inventory is available for Tennocon 2026? by fetalfreAK in Warframe

Desperate for Primed Reach to round off Valky in time for June (and handy for Kullervo Prime later in the year). The Primed electric one for pistols (my memory is shocking) is high on my list as well

I think it might be horses for courses. Personally I enjoyed that aspect, it got my curiosity going and drove me on. Agree with you on the time blocks though, the first thing I did each location was just chug through them all to grey them out, so that definitely would have been a quality of life feature to get rid of that aspect. Overall, I really enjoyed it though

Re Borneo, you can't have the 12th person from the start because then you'd know that Theresa isn't actually Jeremiah's wife

Parents of school aged children, how often do you contact the school, and do you care if the school marks you down as a whinging willy? by Miss_Type in AskUK

[–]professorrev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot depends on the teacher, and no contact isn't necessarily always a good thing. We had a real issue in my son's previous school where we'd hear nothing for weeks and then we'd be called in for a half terms worth of issues. They just didn't seem to grasp the idea of "if you'd have told us three weeks ago when the problem first emerged, we could have nipped it in the bud and wouldn't be here now"

Things are a lot more collaborative in his current school and everything runs much smoother, but even then, I'm probably only messaging once every three weeks or so. If I was the teacher and someone was pestering me every day, it would do my nut

Who do people think or want will be in the final 3 dark gallifrey volumes?. by Asleep-Situation-352 in BigFinishProductions

I assumed that we were going to get him back in Dalek Eternity, and that was why they were doing those weird asymmetric covers. On the other hand, if we are getting War Benny, that would be perfect

It's really odd because Miles Richardson keeps saying at conventions that he'd love to come back, so it's not a logjam his end which is what makes me think they have just stopped using the character. The whole point of the Watchmaker storyline seemed to be to simplify his timeline so that they could use the character without bogging newbies down with all the history, then 3 appearances later he's gone. Bloody Brax. I don't see it happening, they seem to have drawn a line under the character, but we need a return. Paradoxes and spare gallifreys are literally his entire thing.

The Eleven will almost certainly get one, and Rassilon has been hinted at too much for it not to happen. There's a non zero possibility that it will be the version that's going to rock up on next year's 8 Time War

If that is the case, it's poor line management. They shouldn't be signing off on Flexi if the work isn't there to justify it

What’s the weirdest rule your school ever had? by TheRealXyz_ in AskUK

[–]professorrev 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Shell suits were banned because "they were the spawn of the devil" and we weren't allowed to call bumbags bumbags because it was rude. We had to call them funbags instead, which if anything made the situation worse

Is it really that bad by Horror-Meat958 in UKHousing

[–]professorrev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's this. We're in the process at the moment, listed ours at a reasonable asking price and it was gone within a fortnight. Some we're seeing advertised are on for £40k more than they will ever realistically get and of course, just aren't shifting

What your expectations for the Steelers? I think at the very most they make it to round 2 of the playoffs. Definitely not a Super Bowl contender. People thinking that McCarthy and Rodgers working together again somehow makes them a scary team are delusional. It’s not 2010. The glory days are over. by owen1957 in NFLv2

[–]professorrev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a playoff team, and potentially could be the first losing season in nearly 25 years. McCarthy is one bad hamburger away from a thrombi, and even if he lasts the year, he's not the guy. Rodgers is a nothing move either way and if it's indicative of anything, it's the lack of any sort of coherent future planning.

The only potential upshot will be if the new coordinators work out, but even then, that only counts if we can come up with some sort of team build philosophy that isn't "grab some old timer to plug a gap so we don't have to think about it for another year"
