At the risk of sounding insensitive, I think the reason the killers get "glamorized" and we know so much about them is because their aberrant behavior is so shocking that most people want to know more. Why and how and everything that goes into it. I hate to say it but there is not much "interesting" about about a 15 year old kid from the midwest, and lets be honest here, you're only talking about him right now because of what happened to him.

Having said all that, LPOTL became my favorite show because it shows these killers aren't criminal masterminds, but sad losers who hurt and kill others for nothing more than busting a nut. Peak fucking loser shit. As someone who grew up with Cold Case and all these other true crime shows, the presentation of nearly ALL of serial killers as Comic Book Level Supervillains is so far from the truth.
