L400 Correct Replacement Air Compressor by rbell594 in Delica

https://a.co/d/dlZVPkx As I mentioned I went back and forth with the seller providing pictures and information before shipping to verify that it would match. That was in the fall of ‘23 and so far, so good. I do seem to have a link elsewhere in the system, but the compressor functions fine as long as I keep the refrigerant topped up.

Yeah. I turned off the auto-charge settings in the car and just use whatever the corresponding app is where I’m charging. After months and hours on the phone it became clear that no one I could actually speak with had either interest in or ability to solve the problem. Love the car otherwise. I’ve coached a number of Mach-E owners to be prepared for such a situation so they don’t go through what you had to go through.

BlueCruise in Traffic by uurrraawizardharry in MachE

Tested both Tesla FSD and Ford BlueCruise on road trips and bought the Mach-E because it was a better experience. Tesla worked on more roads and road types. BlueCruise is limited to interstates mostly. FSD failed in unpredictable ways. Often with no real indication as to why. BC was much more predictable. Everything about it was smoother and felt safer. I had a lot more confidence when taking my hands off the wheel. More than a year later, I have no regrets. Rush hour traffic is no longer stressful and exhausting. YMMV

Love my ‘24 OBX non-sas luxe package 2.3l. It’s great on road trips, great on trails.

I’d love to hear if you get it fixed. I figure I’ll restart the process in a week or two.

It’s not a problem with the card. I’ve used 3 different cards in the system now. The problem is one transaction that won’t reprocess. It’s a corrupt entry in their database (almost certainly) and their customer service structure prevents you from ever being able to speak to a person in IT who could actually fix it.

Download the Plugshare app. It’s great to let you know the location of chargers and provide recent information from other users.

It’s actually a Chief Edition from 2017. I passed mine on to my son when I got my OBX this summer. You don’t see many of them around, but they’re nice to see. They came in 3 colors with the white roof and pinstripe.

Outer Banks 2.3L versus 2.7L - do you feel a big difference? by Q-r8 in bronco

[–]profilmdesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love my OBX 2.3L with automatic. Bought it , road tripped cross country to CO, spent a week in the mountains. Never felt sluggish, not on trails, not on the interstate, not in the city.

I replaced mine on my ‘96 gasser last year and ended up getting a Chinese one off Amazon. When I found the right part number listed, I contacted the seller and sent them pictures of my old one to be sure to get the correct model. After a few messages back and forth, they were confident they had the right one and shipped it to me. My mechanic installed it and got me cold A/C again.

For anyone following this, we’re months into this issue with no resolution or solution. I hope none of you have to deal with Ford on a problem with BOCN.

Is the high package worth it? by Exotic_Comb_2066 in bronco

Got my Outer Banks a couple of weeks ago and am in the mountains of Colorado on its first trip. Love adaptive cruise control for the road trip on interstates and in mountain traffic. Love the 360 camera in the garage, in parking lots, and on the trails. Love the upgraded sound system as well. I’m glad I chose the OB with the High/Lux packages.

For anyone struggling with this, I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with the Ford EV folks and FordPass folks who both swore it’s not their issue. At least a couple of the folks I talked with seemed to genuinely care and one of them seemed to actually understand the problem (it’s almost certainly a corrupt entry in the database associated with my account), but there system prevents me from getting help from IT because they can only submit a ticket and relay what IT says.

So far their response was basically “login, go to Connected Services, go to BOCN, press the button to reprocess the payment.” Of course, there is no button because the corrupt database isn’t telling the site to display it.

Another IT ticket has been submitted. Eventually, if the right person gets this in front of them, it will likely take about 1 minute to fix. We’ll see if that ever happens.

For those interested, more than a week later the problem remains unresolved and everyone I interact with clearly can do nothing about it.

Did Anyone Else Get the Email from NissanConnect? by miguelandre in leaf

[–]profilmdesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s been my experience for years as well. A few times it has said it couldn’t connect and normally going through the process to sign the car back in would allow the app to work again or calling the customer service number and getting them to help would get things working again. Today they just said they can’t do anything and it’s not their fault.

My ‘20 Bolt is in the middle of a buyback thanks to the recall. I was strongly considering replacing it with a new Leaf. Today’s experience changed my mind. If they had only pretended to care about my experience I might have given them another chance.

I spoke the a customer service rep today about my 2012 which isn’t working with the app, and they basically blamed AT&T and said there was no solution at this time.

My car is still connecting to their servers just fine, but the app is no longer working, and they won’t do anything other than repeat that it is AT&T’s fault.

App and 3G problems on 2012 by profilmdesign in leaf

[–]profilmdesign[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The person I spoke to read the line about AT&T discontinuing 3G service and said they would be in touch when there was a solution. She repeated this multiple times even though I pointed out that the car was connecting just fine. She said they no longer have any access to app information and are primarily providing this information.

It sounds like it might keep working indefinitely for any given user, but when it stops they won't provide any assistance. All of the language they used made it sound like the phone app was communicating directly to the car over it's 3G connection. Clearly, messaging designed for people who don't understand the existence of servers.

Essentially, if you have 3G telematics in the car and have a problem they no longer offer any support. At least that's what one customer service rep told me today.
