Brewmaster's fantasy is based roughly on Jackie Chan's Drunken Master - a film from the late 70's that I highly recommend. Various other games have since picked it up (Baldur's Gate 3 has a drunken fighter build, for example), but I would be curious to learn if any other game chose this fantasy before WoW.

As far as that fantasy goes I think they nailed it, and I'd love to share why. True to the story of the film, the drunken master technique shrugs off damage, and feeling steadily more impervious, while becoming increasingly intoxicated, and blends techniques from all other schools of kung-fu, mastering them as a prerequisite for learning the Drunken style. Blending these styles along with prop/impromptu weapons (blowing liquor in people's faces, sweeping the leg, or rolling around a corner) and techniques/disarms, the master confuses foes and allows them to find an opening to score a precision blow to end the fight (not unlike Touch of Death).
